I agree we are not a Judeo/Christian nation in that we are in no way a theocracy. I took that as Obama's point and he is absolutely correct IMO. And in the context of foreign affairs that is an important point. I'd like to hear a counter argument to that but as yet have not. Of course Christianity is part of the background of our culture. But so isn't slavery, the "Enlightenment" etc...
First of all, I believe Obama's point in attacking the Christian movement is political. He needs to marginalize those that oppose him.
Second, our laws were built upon Judeo/Christian values, as was our constitution. Hopefully you would NOT say that about the slavery, or witch trials etc.
