  • THANX LADYLUV100!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • GOD I LOVE HER!!!!

  • For those that don't know this tune samples Nancy Wilson - I'm In Love

  • Hoooooooney babe!! ♫ Love it!

  • she does it

  • I LOVE THIS SONG I COULD NEVER GET SICK OF HER

  • @ektittle OMG i know right?

  • "Please stick ya pinky finga in my tea... cause youre so sweet to me."

I should be tired of this because its been my ringtone all year... but NOPE, Im not.

  • - Been listening to her since 3 months old. #No joke..

  • this is one of my favorite songs ,love this song '

  • 9th Wonder ;)

  • 22 people couldn't find any lemon...

  • i'll LOVE to FCK her.

  • erykah badu is so goddamn fine....

  • thumbs up if 9th wonder brings you here!

  • I dig it. Cool soul.

  • Why is is it that every time I go to a Erykah Badu video somebody is always comparing her to Lady Gaga? There is really nothing to compare! They have two totally different styles, Gaga sings POP and Erykah sings R&B! I don't even see how Lady Gaga can pop into your head when your talking about Erykah Badu. Unless your secretly a fan of Gaga.

  • @AneekramLuvGaga Why would ANYONE compare her to Lady Gaga? I've never heard of such nonsense. Absolutely no comparison. They're as different as night and day. The only thing they have in common is that they're both women. Badu is a personification of r&b class and originality. While Gaga is just a Madonna-wanna be/copycat whose always trying to be outrageous and shocking. "Trying", being the operative word because there isn't much original Gaga's done since she's came on the scene.

  • @cathridge Um, okay, and your telling me this why?

  • Her hair is lovely, but it is her SOUL that is much more beautiful than any of these other so-called beauty queens with hair that society teaches us is beautiful. Hair is irrelevant compared to her spirit and the songs that she sings.

  • Regal. Earth Goddess. Revolutionary. Real. Cerebral. Nostalgic. Uncompromising. Ancestral. Forever evolving. The Truth. Do you, Mz. Badu.

  • BUTTAS KID!!!>>>>>niice riddim

  • thumbs up if 9th Wonder brought you here!

  • THIS IS MY SHIT I REMEMBER WEN IT FIRST CAME OUT THAT WAS BETJ'S SHIT

  • I'm a Erykah Badu fan!! I use to spit poetry with her band in Dallas! This song is funky!! I love her funky style!! It's a hit!! I moved last year back to Longview, TX but keep doing your thing!! I have to yet to met hopefully we could do some poetry together one day if fate allows!! Keep on JAMMIN!!!!!

  • I love her voice but I dislike the music. Sounds synthetic. Nothing like the sounds that come from REAL INSTRUMENTS.

  • @darqueve1 well get out of the 17th century and get hip...the sound is futuristic and chill like. but to each his own. i can't really fault you for your opinion.

  • @darqueve1 then chek out the sample. im in love by nancy wilson

  • hypnotic voice sexyy voice makes u wanna just go crusieing hit the clubs smoke outttttt

  • Erykah you got madd swagg on this one.

  • Sighhh my happy song and I found my honey bee :)

  • beautiful eyes!

  • @midian6669 I think it's unfair to attribute it to self-hatred. Know why we do it? Because we CAN! Lol. Black women are THE most versatile women walking the earth! We can wear it straight n silky, kinky, kick some coils, rock the dreadlocks, or go bald. Pair that versatility w/all the varieties of our skin color, and we are DANGEROUS! Lol. Also, u might wanna check the images of Erykah at 2:16 & 2:50. I possess no self-hatred. I AM...5 ft 2 inches, 120 lbs of dynamo!

    Thanks for the love! =-)

  • @midian6669 bro her afro is a wig

  • so tell me, is GOD female or male??? STUDY YA ODDS!!! =)

  • where da fuck is the official video??

  • so beautiful...love her music, n those eyes :)

  • I found a guy who this song is perfect for. But he doesnt even know....damn yall he so sweet!

  • Duude...this is sooooo sweet....makes me think in create my next playlist gig.

    Thanks a lot.

  • Erykah is beautiful because she loves herself and you can tell. i love my hair natural or straight. I have learned to love me. I must say I get more attention now even though I put on an extra30 lbs. The only difference is now I embrace myself. If I don't love me, who will?

  • @kdfrdrck Well said.

  • 9th Wonder is one of the best prods. out there. AT least my favorite.

  • Tuuuuune !!!!

  • I agree with KayTea007's comment.. Erykah is a healer... Yes she does embrace a natural black female essence, but its more than that.. I'm a 31y/o white male, who has been able to introduce her music to a lot of black, white and several in between. Badu's music always puts me in a better mood, she is in a rare class unmatched by anyone else. :-)

  • I love all these comments :) Erykah is a healer, and she consistently makes my soul go mmmmm...whenever I feel lost or alone, I put her music on and I feel right again :)

  • 9th Wonder!!

    This song is hot!

  • real music doesn't get the recognition it deserves now days

    not like the 60s

  • Beatufik

  • I would do anything to have a hair like that. I find my straight hair very boring.. But I stil don't curl them or anything.. :) And I realy like her..

  • Honeyyyyyy yehhhhhh ohhhh..........Pull UPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP TUNEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • I really love her sense of fashion. She embraces an African sense of style, and her voice is just beautiful

  • i am a white woman and I love her because she sings beautifully.. whatever her kind of hair. curly or straight.. She is a very talented singer.. thats why I like her so much !!

I do not think that music is coloured.. its goed or bad and that is also related to the people and what they like. to hear.. that she is very beautiful too is a plus..!

  • BE HONEY AND BE SWEET....DAMIT...

  • Erykah is a gorgeous woman and I'm so envious of her hair.

also, re: hair/natural women debate: I don't fully understand why ANY women feel pressured to add additional hair, long nails and tan/bleach their skin. regardless of race your natural beauty should shine through. You are beautiful without any unnecessary additions, sisters!

  • why are people worrying, about how blackwomen wear their hair..black women can wear their hair very divirse ways,,curly, braids, straight and not trying to be white..black women should be able to change their hair styles when they get bored, with out someone saying they are trying to be white..last I check I dont see nonblack women wearing their hair in diverse ways like blackwomen do..and blackwomen are not trying to be white we love being black regardles, the backlash we get from society!!

  • @TheMontecarlo98 I know that rights, i totally agree with you

  • @TheMontecarlo98 Your right but even the term "trying to be white" is very ignorant. Same goes for the term "trying to be black" It's the general perception we receive from the media. Not every white or black person acts the same so we can't act white or black, we can simply be and express ourselves.

  • @TheMontecarlo98 Non-black women don't wear their hair in diverse ways like black women because they do not have the need to. They are all content with the texture of their hair, they can curl it or perm it, but they would not want to have the texture of hair that black women have. Non-black women have the "ideal hair" that black women spend hundreds of dollars trying to achieve.

  • @kay2025 all hair is beautiful you racist

  • @SilentBombr LOL, who is racist ? I'm just saying what most people do not want to admit to themselves. Of course all hair is beautiful, I know that personally, but if all hair is beautiful why is it that it is mainly black women (not all, but many) who want to completely change the texture of their natural hair ? You do not see other races of women chemically treating their hair to become the exact texture of black hair. Erykah badu wore her hair in head wraps and afros and braids for a reason.

  • @kay2025 If blacks had been the dominant group of people for 500+ years, women from other races would want to change their texture too. You obviously don't understand why a lot of black women alter their hair. Do a little research before making an idiot out of yourself.

  • @HybridD91 I didn't say anything about anyone being dominant... where did you get that from ? I DO understand why black women alter their hair because I am a black woman who used to do that. All I am saying is that black women need to embrace their culture and be completely content with what they were given. How is that making an idiot of myself ?

  • @kay2025 uhm ? dude ? are you retarted ? Yes you probably r .. queen badu's still much more pretteyer then some white pop-trash like lady gaga katy perry and stuff .. and why talkin bout hair while listenin to some epic masterpiece of music ? gooooooooosh !

  • @KingStyla67 : I was responding to another comment. When did I say anything about white trash music being better than erykah badu ? I am one of the biggest erykah badu fans, she's one of the most beautiful women out there. I know that.

  • @TheMontecarlo98 I wish I could like your comment 50 more times! I'm a stylist and I TRY explaining this to people all the time and they don't seem to get it! Not all weaves and blonde and bone straight, some look like fro's and even if it is straight - so what! It's a woman's right to change her hair. Besides, no one tells my white clients who get curly perms that they're trying to be black!

  • fuck l. GAGA

  • vevo aint shit...assholes

  • Makes me think of my Baby....

  • @ksxdp1 awww me too!!!

  • Lady Gaga wishes she could be Erykah Badu!! On her BEST day she couldn't do what Erykah does!

  • @Lakotachik I dont even see how you could even make that comparison they have different backgrounds, fan bases music styles and time periods so now your just bashing gaga for the sake of likes.

and No im not some gaga fan thats trying to offed her

  • @Lakotachik does she even kno who erykah is? did she make a statement about erykah, or her music? why bring lady gaga up in the first place....?

  • @Lakotachik I Love Erykah , But No One Comes Close To Gaga : )

  • @Lakotachik why are you compare Lady Gaga to Erykah???

  • @Lakotachik what a load of shite, comparing artists is just dumb

  • @isleoforkney Thank you!!!! I dont understand why people do that especially when they are nothing alike

  • @Lakotachik ugh.

  • @Lakotachik What about Lady Gaga would make you think she's trying to be like Erykah? they are in no way alike, and BTW you couldn't either

  • Erykah Badu is sofa-king flyyyyyyyyy.

  • Comment removed

  • @midian6669 I wish more men thought like you ;) I couldn't agree with you more being natural is liberating and empowering and above all beautiful i wish more black women would give it a try

  • this woman is a goddess

  • As a black man i love erykah cause she is just the essence of a natural black women just beautiful. NO weave or perm or other crap to make her look more europeon.Never did understand why black women want to have straight hair like white women when black women have the most unique hair in the world. Embrace the fact that we are different and get rid of the self hate.

No racism intended just want my sisters to wake up and be natural.

    LOVE YA ALL :)

  • @midian6669 Oh! I love your post!! It's exactly what I think... Black woman look much nicer with her own hair style! I'm white, but I got such an curly hair!! almos afro! and i just left it grow and now it's really my first attractive thing... people stops me about that. And I love to look so different. That's the nicest part. UNIQUE style!

  • @suissemond loving u Erykah Bado......when i'm listening to u'r music i can't stop.....omg u so sweet.......lawzzzzzzzzzzz

  • @midian6669 I needed that reminder. Thank You!! :)

  • @midian6669 erykah wears weave. and she has dyed her hair blonde. I feel like she transcends the labels and the b.s. though. Her essence and her art is what make her authentic, not her packaging : ) peace and luv bro.

  • @midian6669 Erykah wears weave and has dyed her hair a number of times. But I still like your comment except for the weave and perm part. Every black girls hair does not need to stay natural for good reasons...

  • @midian6669 Thanks for that. Because I have used both weave and perm and I've felt unnatural with both. I don't believe in bleaching, fake tans, fake nails, fake eyelashes, heavy make-up etc because I believe in inner beauty.. but I'm contradicting myself by messing with my hair. I opened my eyes and now I'm deciding to keep it natural because I am PROUD to be Black and I am PROUD of my kinky hair!!!

  • @midian6669 First of all thank you for your beautiful comments on us sista's(much needed) however, I love for my hair to be straight sometimes not to be euro or anything just to have different styles that you can't have with curly hair that's all my black king, Now you do have a lot of darker and lighter skinned lost souls that try that fade from black tactics not I along with a lot of my black queens still out there.

  • @midian6669 'No racism intended', I think what a lot of people fail to understand is that a lot of black women do not straighten their hair to look more 'European' (majority of Asians as well as South Americans have naturally long straight hair, but no one accuses us of trying to copy them), we do it out of convenience. Name me any other way where I can get up and be ready in less than 30 minutes!!! YES curly hair is beautiful, but save it for my retirement years, when I have the time!

  • @midian6669 yeah she wore wigs dude. that afro was a wig. she took it off on that dave chappelle block party thing. and she had micros (indian hair) lol. but i get what you sayin

  • @midian6669 why does it matter whether your black or white, to like this music. ha

  • @rasket09 hes not talkin bout likin the music first of all he talkin to tha sistahs who dnt embrace themselves for who they are

  • @rasket09 You obviously did not read his entire comment... -.-

  • @midian6669 finally, someone who knows about real beauty

  • @midian6669 I love that comment that you made. I thought it was very touching and beautiful but black women don't always wear weave because they want straight hair like white women. We also wear it because we dont feel like dealing with our real hair. It takes a lot of time and energy to take care of our hair. Some of us have gotten lazy and wanna get up and go. Plus weaves and braids help our natural hair to grow. So that's a benefit

  • @midian6669 Please talk to your black brothers because when sisters do rock natural hair the youngings seem to find it unattractive SMH.

  • @midian6669 I Love what you said about us black women. We are beautiful as God intended us to be!! Thank you.

  • @midian6669 yea but yo natural male or female dont need to be jacked nappy.........but beautifully curled......an their are plenty women of color with natural good hair thts straight and soft................the softest pillow for the fingers...lol

  • @Mr123boi First of all, one managing their hair the way God had intended to be is perfectly fine, whether it's curly or not. Just as there's many black women with curls, there's also those with beautifully managed hair that doesn't have curls and they carry it well. They don't need to be insulted with your BS. "NAPPY" is beautiful.

  • @midian6669 It's not always about self hate, although for some it is. Sometimes our natural hair is not accepted in the workplace and although I think it's wrong, it happens, so we what is needed, just like with tattoos and piercings. Just my opinion.

  • @midian6669 Well, I'm a white woman and I couldn't agree with you more. I think she is lovely, natural and raw to the core in her femininity as all women should allow themselves to be regardless of their origins. At the end of the day were all just women and should embrace the natural gifts that the good Lord gave us.

  • @cymbeli IM A HAITIAN,,,,AND HONESTLY, I LOOK PAST COLOR, BECAUSE I DO... BUT IM LOCING YOUR COMMENT... IT IS SO TRUE... AS WOMEN, WE DONOT KNOW OUR WORTH,,,

  • Comment removed

  • @cymbeli *nods in agreement*

  • @midian6669 Thanks for the love!! ~proud natural sista~

  • @midian6669 I have a relaxer only because it makes my hair more manageable FOR ME to manageable. I love myself and others! I am still natural other wise. I Don't shave (too much work), don't get nails done by anyone else, but keep it a short lenght, don't wear (don't need, I possess natural beauty, but have to admit some people need it, and no need for me add hair to my scalp b/c my hair is long and thick, but I do from time to time because I like different styles that will last for at 2 weeks.

  • @midian6669 SO beautiful!

  • She kinda over done it with that window seat vid,but i still love her though

  • I love this song and erykah, shes the shiznit

  • @Violetsoaps ok yhu cud say you love her but wut does you bein white gota do with anything? do you have to be black to like her??

  • @lilsarinababy -When you learn English and how to spell you will deserve a response. Stop hatin' and your reverse racism. :)

  • @Violetsoaps Actually she has a valid point, what you have to be black to like her? LOL.

  • @VibeBabe and @lilsarinababy- Try coming to my narrow minded town. I'm the only white woman I know that listens to the "black" radio station. The only white people I've ever heard being played are Teena Marie and The Beastie Boys. Case closed.
