Actually, in their third album (the hardest to get these days) Emma had a lot more singing and solos, especially since Geri was not present.

However, the songwriters and recording guys liked to focus on Melani C. (Sporty) because she has a powerhouse voice that is also very distinctive. (Ironically, she too, has a successful solo career.)
