@MetroMitchRo if i took out the resonator and straight pipes and the exhaust you have on a 1997 e39 528i do you think it would sound similar and you have a great looking car.
@MetroMitchRo when you chop the res i noticed worse mileage. i put the stock muffler back on. but the 540 is wicked on fuel considering you have 282hp when you need it.
This car sounds like it has an air leak, you can hear a whistle coming from the front of the engine and the revs dont settle properly when you let go of the throttle. I might be wrong though.

im honestly not sure, i think it would still sound really good, and unique for a bmw. but im not sure how similar it would sound since its an inline 6 not a v8. but i think its worth a shot.
