  • WE WANT SEASON 2 NOW

  • szentkirályi ásványvíz :D

  • The book is amazing, i'm reading it now, it's especially scary when jack burns the old Cathedral :S. The best thing about it, is that you can relate to the feelings of the characters, all the stupid feelings and things you'd never admit but are there, Ken Follet seems to show in each of them.

  • the book was amazing, i can't wait to watch the series!

  • This is really good, really good. Just like the book.

  • glad he held out for the mini series...would have been a crime to do it any other way. wonderful

  • the serie's was great

  • My ONLY problem with this series is that its too short!

  • Tom Builder,Ellen, prior phillip and Jack are my favourite characters!

  • The book + the series is GREAT!!!

  • I've seen the serie. You are gripped from beginning to end. Great job. I just coudn't wait untill it was friday for the pilars of the earth!

  • You can tell Donald Sutherland loved being in this film. He even looked happy when he was about to be executed.

  • Loved the books

  • Great cast, they all fit perfectly, except maybe William.

  • Series was Pretty Good . Book was Still best Though . Ian Mcshane wow as waleran

  • @Sparks424 Agree with you :) Ian was perfect :)

  • @bathory047 i need to ask is your name ,named after Bathory the Band or The bathory family or ???

  • @Sparks424 No, its because i like the real Elizabeth Bathory as the historical personality (im sorry for my bad english ) Kisses from Slovakia :)

  • Ridley Scott knows how to produce/direct "historical" dramas... =D

  • РУС ЛОстФИльм озвучка

  • Donald Sutherland YOU are AWESOME! and you are canadian too...

  • I always imagined Philip as Tom Hanks...and McFadden actually looks a bit like him. that's a bit creepy actually.

  • @singaporecats2009 oops, MacFayden. Sorry! (At least he can do a Welsh accent...Hanks might have more trouble with that!)

  • I had suggested the book to my cousin and he just finished reading it when I found this today! So awesome!!

  • The cast in UNBELIEVABLE! couldn't imagine them better myself!!

  • Eddie Redmayne is one of the finest young actors to come along in awhile. I am enjoying seeing his career evolve. (He just one the Tony for Reds on Broadway). He was perfectly cast for this.

  • @ReeLeeNow Amen to that, I've seldom seen a more perfect fit of actor to character.

  • First off, this is my favorite novel and I really hope they do it justice.

Also, Join KingsbridgePriory d.o.t. proboards .d.o.t. com to discuss the book, the upcoming series, and other literature!

  • Why does Donald Sutherland keep getting these roles of English characters? Are there no British or Irish or Scottish Actors for the role. Hated him in the Pride and prejudice movie.

  • @nupdawg

YES! He was also the indulgent father of a strong-willed 'princess' in Cold Mountain! ...not exactly type-casting but odd nonetheless

  • I love it too!!! very much..<3 Ken Follet is unbeliveable! hope i can see the movie

  • Le libre est vraiment excellent, je me réjouis de voir la série.

  • haha Hungary <3

  • People who hate Aliena cant handle strong determined women who wont stop doing whats right...Says more about them and their woman hating immaturity and insecurity than anything...If a man character possesses the characteristics and strength of this remarkable female character, hes the hero of the century...give me a break....So sick of the double standards...grow the f..ck up...You're boring.

  • I was looking at the casting for the monks, and the older ones such as Cuthbert, and Remigus just seem to young. That and the actress playing Regan is, well too good looking...especially after ken went through all the effort in detailing how repulsive she looked.

  • As much as I loved both of the books, Pillars of the Earth and World Without End, I don't think I'll watch this show. I've already heard some changes their going to make, however, small, and I don't want the book to be ruined in my eyes by story changes or any possible bad acting.

  • I'm just now reading the Pillars of the Earth and it's a great book - when I'm done I will have to get the sequel called World without end.

  • OMG I cant belive!!! I love the book!!! I am so sad I live in Portugal, I dont have this channel CBC.... snifff =´(

  • I loved the book! But I hated Aliena and Ellen. But I loved Phillip! Ken is now on my favorite authors list...it's just them that irks me...

  • @Morgisback I've got to agree, Prior Phillip has become one of my favorite fictional characters of all time...

  • @BeFree2Laugh Yay. :3

Finally someone who agrees with me.

  • @Morgisback : How can you hate aliena? She was the star of the book, along with philip and jack.

  • @graaaceee I hated her ability to be a mary-sue throughout the entire thing. She was the damsel in distress, everyone loved her, everyone wanted to be like her, and she was self rightous. I dislike that kind of character. She had pratically no flaws, she was perfect and it got on my nerves.

  • @Morgisback who you talking about?

  • @jennyjoys Aliena. Didn't like her.

  • @graaaceee Along with Tom, William, Ellen, and Jonathan. Which is why I loved this book. It didn't just focus on just one person, it focused on hunderds of people just building this cathedral.

  • i hope this does the book justice!

  • aahh i am SO excited for this!!!!!!!!!! its going to be great i can feel it :)

  • i loved the book so much and I really want to see this series.

  • Pillars of The Earth was the best book I have ever read. I hope the show will do it honor.

  • @BurningArrowPictures Im reading the book now and Im soooo in love with it! The series was great!

  • this book is amazing

  • Oh... my,,, God! Can't wait to see this. When is it going to be on TV? What channel? It's 3:48 a.m. here in Lima, Peru and I've just finished "World without end". I enjoyed it as much as I did with "Pillars of the earth"

  • can't wait to see this next year'. eddie redmayne is perfectly cast as jack, and

the rest of the cast and sets are exactly

as I imagined them when I read book

  • Thanks so very much for posting this!!

  • Loved the book! So happy it will be presented as a mini-series so that the story can be properly told. Wonderful cast has been assembled. Matthew Macfadyen cast as Prior Philip is what brought this project to my attention. Can't wait to see this!

  • Hardly. This book is actually one of the better looks at medieval out there. It's straight historical fiction. No witches or warlocks here. Look up the book on Amazon. I'm a medieval buff and I heartily recommend the book.

I am curious though, what exactly about demons and dragons is so necessarily liberal?

  • No, it's not.

    It's a medieval soap, actually.

  • The room :dialogue between muslims and christians" has had more muslims take shahda recently. It is the paltalk com section social issues/human rights section. Come and learn without arrogance and see if ALLAH guides you

  • Brilliant indeed! down right illuminating even... 2 thumbs up.

  • This book was great!
