Actually, plexiglass would be an ideal surface. Aside from the coolness factor, it's rigid, easy to cut/drill, and is relatively light weight. Kinda like my watch. It has a clear body to see all the moving parts. The LED is a litle over the top, but cool nonetheless. Well done.
