In a 1998 interviw, James Pankow said he didn't want to be sixty and still travelling all over the place. Since he's not outof the band but has people subbing for him onstage, he's got his wish. But, I think he could do more. from behind the scenes. The music industry is suffering today, because nobody younger than forty wants to be as good as Chicago. If they do, they're sentenced to obscurity. Pankow should be trying to raly those select few, form a company of his own and get them heard.
@CircleCityEric Check out a band by the name of Mingo Fishtrap.
They are an AWESOME funk band out of Austin, Texas made up of some of the most talented players out of the University of North Texas. They are also outstanding live.
The most commercially successful trombonist? I believe so...very amusing to watch onstage, seems like a cougar on catnip, but one heck of a player and has does some fine horn arrangements for Chicago.
What song is that where he soloed?
