You're an idiot. The purchasing age for alcohol is 21, however, most states have no drinking age. Most kids begin drinking at 15 or 16. We Americans invented the the popular binge drinking culture. Visit any university here and everyone is drunk off their ass.
Many politicians want to lower the drinking age back to 18 (like it was in the 1980's). It's only a matter of time before it gets lowered.
