@halimthebest1 I heard Halim was very sick and so young what did he have? I also heard that Abdil Whahab discovered him is that true? I was fascinated that Farid and Halim were in the same interview and Farid like listening to him

@msjewelblue yes it's true he died young...at age 40. He had a disease he contracted while a little boy when he used to swim in the contaminated river. He came from a very poor family and his parents died while he was still a little boy but grew up to be the best human being that ever lived. He is sadly missed and will always be remembered as a true legend. RIP Abdou

listen people, my grandma and granpa got a divorce in the year 1960 because she loved fared and he loved abed... so please, i have heard about the difference between them all my life... so please why can't we just love them for being two great artists.. after they died we never had anybody like them.

They were saying something and their eyes said something else. Yet, i respect the image they maintained during the whole interview and how they never went on digging each other.

Today's actors should learn from this interview how to deal with your contender without losing your face.

Farid suffered from heart problems throughout his last 30 years. In the last few years of his life, he became physically thinner, and his singing voice became raspy as his sickness intensified. Although he was struggling with his health, he continued to make movies and perform in concerts until he died. On December 26 1974, Farid died in Beirut at Al Hayek hospital. Farid is buried in Cairo, Egypt along side his sister and brother.
