  • I don't know what it is about this drawing, but I am in LOVE with it!!! You are awesome dude and a huge inspiration. :) Thanks for sharing!!!

  • Anyone else think of Jim Henson's Labyrinth while watching this?

  • this might be a good way for me to improve my shading technique by just drawing something from a scribble when you dont have to think about highlights and proportions

  • i love doing stuff like this :D Simple, yet lovely!

  • graffiti gave me a whole different perspective in drawing and the world

  • See, I can think of things to draw, especially while playing "scribble", but I can never use "fillers" or what would you call them... like textures. How do you come up with those fillers? I can never think of things to fill in the blank spaces...

Can you tell me what I could use as a "texture"?

  • @Gangstopper I just use random designs -with alot of traditional shading. The traditional shading is what gives an abstract drawing life.

  • @AcArtGallery Thanks.

  • @Gangstopper Hey i draw around16 hours a week a good tip is to avoid plain lines try to make transitions instead. Nothing is made out of plane lines therefore a drawing made out of lines can never look 100% reel.

  • This is how Nintendo makes Pokémon now days.

  • just finished shading in my stickman..

  • kinda looks like a demonic fetus?

  • I like to draw stuff like this, good video by the way

  • You made something special out of nothing. Cool.

I almost saw a duck head in the picture near the beggining.

  • i notice when i take notes i always start scribbling on the side of my page then i make stuff from the scribbles, but ive never really drawn that much stuff in my life

  • Wow simply amazing

  • xDDDD I love doing this at school, where someone will draw a scribble and I make abstract art out of it. (Not as good as this though) Good to see that I'm not the only person with this sort of idea c:

  • I don't get it...I thought you were drawing Darth Vader...wouldn't it be easier to just watch some clouds passing by...look, it's a puffy pillow, no, now it has legs, wait, is that a face...O_o...oh look at the time, I guess I'll have to get to WORK now. ;)

  • cool.... reminds me of the way my sketch drawings start ....interested in doing an Exquisite Corpse? message me

  • vary cool, i think it kinda looks like a phetus or a birds eye view of a huge structure.

  • What kind of pen are you using?..

  • @ValLikesShadows A mechanical pencil

  • If I can draw abstract and have it turn out something as good as this, Id never draw from a reference ever again. I always feel I need a reference to draw something or it wont turn out how I want it. So this might be harder for me to master since all I ever did was draw off another drawing or picture.

  • pfft i can do better... in my dreams! haha! >:P

  • THIS IS REALLY AMAZING.....WOULD YOU CONSIDER DOING A VIDEO ON HOW AND WHERE TO PLACE SHADING TO GIVE ABSTRACT SHAPES DEPTH, OR PROTRUDED LOOKS ETC... THANKS

  • you add so much depth its extraordinary i need to learn how =)

  • Is THAT a MUSHROOM in it's HEAD?

Nice art! I Sometimes draw like this when I am bored and have no idea what to draw.

  • @HiGuyMB love your comment =)

  • Me and you draw in similar methods.. The ability to break a image up more and more complex, while maintaining proper contrast. How did you get that viewing angle? Sweet, btw!! ~~Tom

  • @TheBroodingTom I got that viewing angle by having my camera at a further than 90° angle looking down and then slightly to the left. It was the only angle that looked decent whereby my hand wasn't blocking the drawing a majority of the time.

  • i draw just like this man. been looking for something like this. i just start with come kind of a curve and i keep adding curves, and spirals or whatever comes to mind. i sorta just move my hand and let my mind take over. its like im going for a ride, and im curious to see what comes out of it. then i have alot of fun to try and find out what it sorta looks like =D. and i use a mechanichal pencil 2!! lolzz,

  • What is it? It looks like a skeleton of a bird. So cool though

  • how do you manage to do shades with a mechanical pencil?? i never did. it only helps me with the outline cause it can be erased easily. anyway. nice technique i'll try it too.

  • Sick drawing man i love it.

  • This is awesome man!

This may sound like a weird question but I'm going to ask it anyway. What brand of mechanical pencil do you use and what lead grade of lead do you use?(ie: 2B, B, HB, etc).

  • @djgronk The pencil is called Pilot G-2 07 with HB 0.5mm lead

  • @AcArtGallery theres a pilot g-2 07 pencil? pilot g-2 07 are the only pens i used in highschool hah

  • @AcArtGallery ._. i use that kind of a pencil but my art dont look like that

  • dam bro that is raw.. how long you been drawing for?

  • @kawasaki0wner long time...

  • LOVE IT!

  • i do stuff like this all the time...

    minus the use of shading

this turned out pretty awesome man...makes me want to incorporate shading into my drawing...but i usually use a fine point pen

  • wow amazing...did u draw this with pencil?

  • A mechanical pencil.

  • This is a wonderful art!!! You are very good.

  • I love this.

  • O_O
