Will be nice when canoeists have to contribute some money to the E.A for the upkeep of are countryside and all the lovely rivers they like to canoe down, like fishermen have to
Hi, I consider myself to be a hardline angler. I fish on the Wensum between Hellesdon Mill and down as far as Carrow Road (Mainly for Pike). I really can't for the life of me see how banning canoeists will achieve anything. On the "Free to fish" Wensum there are major spawning grounds just below Hellesdon Mill and again just below New Mills Yard. Both of these see significant Canoe traffic and yet the River is alive with young fish of all species.
Very good! I can´t believe that someone is able to own a river in England or even think that he/she can stop people enjoying canoe paddling along this river!! This is ridiculous!
As an offer of compromise, this protest video gets taken down as soon as the Norfolk Anglers Conservation Association agree that canoeists are entitled to paddle down the River Wensum, and most precisely through Lyng Mill and Costessey Point.
