He blew everyone away in Primal fear, but when he changed his whole look in american History x and played that part, he was off the charts. It was a low budget film, that is why it did not get the recognition it should have. He is up there with Sean Penn who is the best actor of our generation

@sigmun25 really? I could be mistaken then. I just thought that all the other scenes were really fitting as generalisations for his characters, whereas in that one, it would be really confusing to anyone who hadn't seen the movie. But each to his own, i guess. At least one person liked it ;)

Actually there's some sort survey from the critics regarding who they think should have won an Oscar but didn't, Ed Norton came on top for American History X. He was robbed that time.I have seen him in not so impressive films but HAVEN'T seen him act less than impressive. Brilliant actor.His rawness just scares me. The best actor of his generation.

1) i don't think edward norton has been in one bad movie and 2) it seems like a lot of good movies were made in 1999 fight club, the matrix, analyze this, american beauty, galaxy quest, the mummy and the sixth sense

Edward is absolutely out of this world PHENOMINAL!!! He should have won Oscars for all the films. I love his humbleness and his sence of humor. I also find it lovely how he takes a few seconds before he speaks because he's really thinking of the exact words that he wants to say. A man of true substance and many brilliant talents. I agree that he should have gotten at least one out of the two Oscar nominations. He dominated in Primal Fear and American History X, and he should have gotten that recognition. However, to me I think that Edward Norton's best is yet to come. I cannot wait for the day he wins. It's good to see him be recognized for all his hard work.
