I wonder why so much bracing is required on the back that doesn't see any string tension. assumed...

i think its because it has to hold the curved back in place?

Good series, but had to go back to see where the curvature in the back came from, I missed it due to the noise of the sanding machine.

the curvature of the back comes from the shaped braces with arches carved in them...
