Your argument makes no sense: Peach's glide toss makes a huge difference in how she can approach.

Who cares if zelda can slide farther? She can't pull an item out of nowhere like Peach/Diddy/Snake, so glide tossing doesn't really become a part of her playstyle.

Yea i said that awhile ago.I actually then i tried it out & into combat & it actually helped me out a lot. So i pretty much take back wat i said before. Zelda's may go farther but peach can pull one out wenever she wants which is good for if your playing with no weapons.

eh....if you use the awesome c-stick(set to smash), you can direct the throw to any direction. glide toss also works backwards. :D

This definetly helps with peach's nerfed projectile game. The only problem is Brawl's new catching system. All people have to do is dash attack and it automatically catches the turnip.

Of course, as long as you're not a complete idiot with them in the first place that's unlikely to happen.

but the turnip its not really made for making Dmg ... its used to make enemies change their strategy to make him avoid the turnip...make a move...so peach now have a second where the enemy is almost offguard ... so its a distract more than a damaging turnip (and if the turnip hits u have done dmg and he if offguard too)

It's not too hard.  If someone is coming at you with, say, a sword, like Marth- their range outdoes you, you can't fight them straight up. Instead, pull a turnip and use that- your turnip will preceed you and block the sword hit and you'll end up sliding into his face and get a free shot.

I mean, setting aside for a second that I reject all glitch-based techniques (which leaves nothing but short hop and fast fall, rly...) I can't imagine that this miniature amount of forward motion is truly enough to gain an advantage. Plus, it looks difficult to pull out of.

Um..no it doesn't. With a lil practice i'm sure its easy. I mean Niko has this technique and others down before brawl is even out in the US. Also this is very useful. The foward is ok but the back is great because you can retreat completely unharmable because you are moving via roll-dodge while you throw a turnip making it an exelent mind-game trick and a great way to hit with your turnips. Any technique is useful as it adds more to your bag of tricks and more for your opponent to deal with.

I've played the game and messed around with this technique quite a bit (as peach). It's not incredible, but it's definitely useful. It allows you to, without jumping, throw a projectile while moving forward starting from a complete standstill. Normally if you throw an item at the very beginning of a dash it causes you to stop moving forward. Also, you end up in a neutral position after this so you have more offensive options than if you were dashing.

Complain away, scrubs. :)
