I've had an Extra OFNA Micro Fail safe kicking around my Box for 6+ Years. It would hav saved your truck no problem. An outta control Savage could seriously hurt someone!!!
Sorry you had to learn about Fail Safes the hard way!
Omg dude LOL, that shit happened to me the 1st day I got my Savage a ripped an a-arm off, lol it went haywire and started screaming like yours did scarred the shit out of me, rushed over and pulled the fuel line rofl. Back in action now tho :D
Ow..... That's how to strip a spur gear though! I would mount that gear on my wall. What engine was that, and did it survive? Or did the piston blow a hole?
@GeneralScot It was an OS max .30vg! It didn't just strip the spur gear, shredded the first gear in the tranny too, and the engine survived intact, but it got so hot it baked dirt into the head and warped everything, needless to say it didn't run again. :( Freak accident really, when it went into the brush it got caught on a vine at the perfect angle to keep it running, but ridiculously lean.
At first i thought that dude was a girl -__-

I would've liked to have seen the tear down vid. I've never had any problems with the internal tranny gears.

@cowiehound
I learned the hard way! After my Savage obliterated itself, I went out and bought myself a brand new digital 3.3 Tmaxx.
Repairs are under-way for the Savage though! :)

@Gubru Nice one ! The t-maxx is a great truck ive just bought a losi xxl but havent had chance to run it yet to much snow :(
Hope you get the savage fixed soon i hate having one of my trucks down.

@cowiehound
Just make sure your pack is charged. A runaway with 2.4GHz is still possible if it goes dead.
