That's the problem with the Internet: every retard is allowed post even though they're mostly wrong lol But nah, any drummer worth his salt would recognise you as having the requisite chops! It's a pity Anders J. isn't recognised as much though- guys like him and Nicke Andersson and Ken Owen are where it's at. Fuck all this hyperblasting sickdrummer shit :-(
why would anyone think its a playback? Your drumming sits nicely on top. But hell yeah your kit sounds awesome for an electronic one.... all hail the Jivarp!
@lgalicki also, if it's not rude... how much did your kit cost? I've had a look online at thomann.de and holy fuck I could get a sick acoustic kit for the price of those yamaha electros!
Well, I bought mine sometime ago here in Brazil, and it cost more than an entry level and less than a intermediate level acoustic kit, basically. This e-kit I have is an intermediate one. Maybe you saw a more professional e-kit?
@LDP060681 Oh man... I cover songs from bands I listen to, and I don't listen to Rush. I don't mean they're a bad band, we just don't have time to listen to all god music there is, right? Maybe you could pick another DT song. I have some of them in my sleeve, but I don't know which one I should do next.
@lgalicki aw man I HIGHLY suggest getting into them... metal's still cool...but now I'm 30, those classic prog rock bands just seem more vibrant lol Anyway as for DT, have you considered Of Chaos And Eternal Night?
Hum... I'm around 30 too and I've been actually getting into some more extreme stuff! I guess everyone follows a different path, eh!? Now Of Chaos And Eternal Night is a song which I never considered! You got me there! The ones at the tips of my fingers are Feast of Burden, Hours Passed in Exile, White Noise/Black Silence, Static, The Poison Well, The Lesser Faith and At the Point of Ignition. Actually a couple of them are not perfectly memorized, but they're almost a 100%.
@lgalicki it's true! I guess the only thing that matters is that every music lover gets around to the best music in whatever order suits them lol As for myself, I was into brutal grindcore, death metal, black metal, ambient weirdnesss...and then a couple years ago all that stuff became tedious :-) It's all about Rush/Yes/Queen these days... In regard to DT Of Chaos And Eternal Night stands out as it's probably the closest they came to black metal, and no-one else has touched it on youtube.
@lgalicki oh man i would love to see a White Noise/ Black Silence drum cover by you, and maybe a Cathode Ray Sunshine one too? Btw i love your covers man keep it up :D
White Nose/Black Silence is a lot of fun to play! I'll consider doing a video for it soon! Thanks for the tip! Sometimes I just don't know what I should do next, and tips help me to get out of my indecision!
Thanks man! Your suggestion has been wrote down! It would be easy to do a video for the Treason Wall because I already know how to play that song almost perfectly. I think I'm gonna do it.
Format C for Cortex would give me a bit more of work because I never memorized it that well, though.
@lgalicki I hope you do it someday because there isn't any decent drum cover of The Treason Wall in all youtube... I can wait to see you playing it...

Keep in mind that it still makes a bit of noise and, mainly, that the bass drum pad causes vibrations which may get some of your neighbors pissed. Notice the in video that I have a stage under my drum kit. It can be seen at 0:08, when the pedal work is shown, I made it to prevent vibration. It's basically made of two pieces of wood with EVA between them. EVA absorbs the vibration. The noise problem can be avoided by not drumming at night, since it's not that loud.
In case you wonder why this noise isn't heard in this video, it's because I didn't use the microphone camera to capture the drum sound. It's been captured directly from the module from a phone out jack.

Thanks pal!
I've been accused of not being the one playing the drums in my videos before, so I keep that explanation in the description of every video I post!
