Yes some times our USA federal Government is crappy. It also sounds like some of Canada has similer issues. We should keep trying to prevent foolish rules or laws such as th Blue lights on snow plows and emergency vehicles. i wish this law would change in the USa. I feeel it isa safety issue not to have a Blue light on a snow plow. Lets man date where on the emergency vehicle and snow plows the Blue light is put. Stay safe every one.
The Blue light shows up thrrough the white out cloud of snow better than amber (yellow). Minnesota in the St. paul ( the twin cities) are used to use them. now wiht the new federal regulation for all emergency units to have partal blue lighting minnesota has stopped using them making things less safe for "government" (CIty, county state, etc.) snow plow crews.
@ahnbra They're trying to do that to us up here in Canada too. A few provinces use blue for snowplows, but where it was allowed for all snowplows (municipal, highway, county and private contractors) they've since banned blue for private contractors. Now only government plows (municipal, highway and county) can have the blue lights. I imagine soon they'll take that away from us too. Another stupid idea, considering the blue light is more visible in snowy conditions.
