  • stop talking about his weight i mean yeah hes still a little off the edge lol but hes a legend on guitar you dont have to be so mean and who gives a DANM about his weight all you skinny fucks always comment about weight well guess what if your going to be so mean then FUCK YOU.

  • I wonder how many Donuts this man could eat?

  • Sometimes I'm just a fat fuck (Dino)

  • its funny how people talks shit abut him in the comments... cause he plays better guitar and all the haters.. -.-? lol f in the a whores

  • people talking about blackouts always say they have more tone more gain and less noise and all that but they never compare it to anything lol we all know you're talking about EMG just let your balls hang and say it.....

  • @geicowithdagheko1 It's so they don't give any free promotion to EMG.

  • This guy reminds me of Dungeon Master

  • with all the concerts and the way he sweats when he plays, why is he still so over wieght?

  • genetic heritage?

  • why does it matter? Fuck

  • Comment removed

  • @garlictoast23 cause he's a fat fuck lol

  • @garlictoast23 Twinkies.

  • does this guy have a neck?

  • @lostlemming Yeah, the one in guitar;D;D

  • Anyone tried the new Mick Thomson signature Blackouts?

  • a signiture set be mr.seven? ...that should be very interestingi should pick some up

  • wat is the solo he plays?

  • Bleed The Fifth (song)

  • wats the red guitar?

  • Ibanez xiphos

  • a 7 string ibanez xiphos

  • Active pickups are overrated.

It's simply a passive pickup with a built in preamp so you get an extra gain stage from guitar to pedal to amp.

  • i dont know why but every time i see a dino interview, it pisses me off that he says "the GROUP divine heresy" it just seems to me when he says that he dont give a fuck. i know its stupid

  • Dino looks like jabba the hut

  • @kameltoe666

    Funniet comment ever!!!

  • EMG 81 & 85 are just toys against this Blackouts!!

  • black-outhsssss!! sorry dethklok :/ emg's 81's and 85's arent as heavy as Seymor Duncan blackouts

  • Stupid question maybe, but maybe someone can help me out a bit. I have always used and loved Seymore Duncan pickups. Most Everyone talks EMG 81's up like theres no tomorrow! Me being a metal guitarist what are some defining pros and cons about these two pickups? thanks for any feedback.

  • EMGs sound like sterile piss. Duncans sound like a real pickup.

  • lol so tru

  • bottom line if you have shit equipment, and cant play, no pickup is gonna save your. mustaine, and dino like livewires....zakk wylde, kerry king, james and kirk from metallica, kerry king from slayer, and the guys from killswitch engage swear by EMG's. i personally never liked active pickups because they sound like shit on the clean channel IMO

  • Yo, there's something called GOOD CLEAN AMPS like Fender's and Good fucking pedals like Zoom's

  • why should i have to buy a whole separate amp for the clean channel? and to be honest in my 16 yrs playing, i've ran across maybe 1 pedal i really liked. whatever floats your boat i guess. nevertheless, no equipment will save you if you simply can't play.

  • Hey grown guy, I didn't even talk to you

  • yes you did

  • zoom sucks ass

    weak sounding, modelling shit

  • Sure... Want fries with that?

  • and tell me, who the fuck cares what you have to say sir?

  • you cared enough to comment jackass :) have a nice day.

  • now there's something to be proud of....

  • Don't rape niggers, you'll get AIDS :(

  • yeah, and they also have a weak-ass,"mushy" sound with distortion, passives have a big fat powerfull sound... and they also don't run out of batteries:)

  • i never had that experience with actives but once. and it was (ironically) because the battery was about dead. after replacing it they sounded great with distortion.

  • would i have to rout out my pickups for my 7 strin gto put these in??

  • Now they make Blackouts in the big EMG 707 sized casings and smaller "regular" seven string casings. Just like Dino talks about. SD had someone talking about them at NAMM and it is supposed to smaller routes. It shouldn't need any routing.

  • Love this guy!

  • Play some samples Dino, don't just talk about them pick ups (hook a brother up)...everyone is curious about the difference between them and th EMGs. Nice to see you by the way. Mike

  • stop eating

  • i tought he was gonna eat the guitar and the cameraman either.

  • that guitar and those pickups rule

  • dude your so right. i put those blackouts on my dean razorback the tone i have now is almost perfected

  • sweet, what kind of music do you play?

  • Metal mainly, but im studying jazz and classical. the blackout give a good clean sound which supirse me. but i have a bad clean sound on my amp so i havent been able to mess around with the clean. but the distortion fucking awesome

  • i dunno if you've heard of this but seymour duncan just recently released a new version of the blackouts called blackouts metal, they're even hotter than the original blackouts, it would give your clean sound a little bit more bite b/c they actually give your clean channel very mild distortion, and the distortion would be insane

  • is that an 8 string xiphos?!!:O awsomeness

  • No, it's a 7 string Xiphos, which is now a standard production model.

  • nope not standard =[ his has a floating bridge and the neck is nearly twice the diameter of the standard production model. the standard has a string through body bridge, and the neck is so small if feels cramped, too bad . . . i'd love to throw some flame across a signature dino cazares xiphos.

  • where can i find this 7 string xiphos with the floating bridge?

  • it's custom-made for him - you won't get it anywhere

sorry for the bad news ;-)

  • co-mon Dino, get a sneaker ..for cry'n out loud!

  • ohh pcar got PWNED haha nice one

  • above the locking nuts on the neck, what exactly is that on his guitar?

looks like a foam strip or something.. im wondering if that must lower noise or something?

  • its the string retainer

  • It's tape. He has it up there because the Blackouts are THAT sensitive.

  • is tht a Xiphos

  • Yep.

  • what pickups would be great for playing songs like sweet child o' mine?

  • slash uses seymour duncan pickups on most of his guitars so that would be good

  • emg 81 or sd active blackout?

  • blackouts

  • coool pickups, what do you all reckon though is better, seymour duncan blackouts or emgs?

  • dosnt matter, i had both and the both completely eliminate your tone. unless you are the FIRST person using them OR doing something unique with them, then you will just sound like everyone else. For example, dino uses 8 string guitars, and another legend right now Alexi Laiho, he has his very own custom moded pot in his guitar, so them, mustaine, and whoever the first to use emgs was, they are basically the only active pickup users with original tone

  • i always thourgth that about emgs so many modern metal guitarist use them these days. im an 80's metal player myself, so emgs arent a huge thing to me

  • Actually quite many players use EMG's these days but then again Seymour Duncan's passive pickups are very popular too. Zakk Wylde, Kerry King, Kirk Hammett and many other top guitar players use EMG's so I guess that has something to do with those pickups' huge popularity

  • What total shite. You're telling me Mark Knopfler, Steve Lukather, Paul Stanley, Gary Moore, Zakk Wylde all have the same tone? These guys and many more were using EMG back in the 80s before most of you had heard of them. The reason most metal players sound the same these days is down to the people producing them and whats aimed for in the industry. It has nothing to do with pickups.

  • All those artists had their own custom made pickups. Whatever you buy in the stores today that have their name on them is not the same exact pickup that the artists use. their just similar and massd produced. Personally I don't like Emg's or actives period. They just sound muddy to me. Unless used in a base . I love EMG's bass pickups.

  • Zakk uses the 18 volt mod on his EMG's which most people don't do. That has a lot to do with his tone.

  • That guitar is really good looking. I love the finish.

  • I'm not too keen on the shape, the Mark Morton Dominion is a really nice guitar.

  • Yeah it is. I wish it had blackouts or emgs on it though.

  • does it have active p.u.

  • Nooo =( it uses duncan humbuckers

  • he might be mexican but he's a fckn awsome grindcore metal guitarist. Nobody make power riffs like Dino Cazares.

  • And be mexican is a bad thing? Why?

  • yh righty o mate. "what a fag america" what a narrow minded and steryo typical way of looking at a person, esp sum1 hu's more famous then most ppl, and is a ledgend in his own right. and so yh, ummm what's ur amazing achievmant in life that you must have forgotten 2 mention?

  • ohh pcar got PWNED haha nice one

    metalmusicmike XD \m/

  • Mmmm...

If mexican doesn't exist, America wouldn't eat a shit, you fuckin idiot!

What do you think about that?

  • it eats as shit because of white poeple asshole.

  • your black

  • What a fag USA citizen is pcarpernet, perhaps?

  • fuck off viva mexico pinche Guero

  • You Racist prick!

  • Is that solo he just did from Divine Heresy?

  • yeah man, it is. \m/

  • ps. here's an instrumental of the song it's in.

    \m/

  • Im getting those pickups this Monday after a month and a half of them being backordered i pray that they actually r worth the wait...

  • Duuudee!!! Is that an Ibanez Xiphos custom!? I have one, but it has 6 strings, and Dimarzio pickups

  • I put a set of these into my explorer and they totaly blow my emg 81's out of the water

  • that guitar is a copy of the jackson warrior... anyway its good to hear someone talking about the pickup and not just promoting it, as the dude below me said.

  • The warrior is ugly when compared to this one!

  • maybe, but you can say where they stole the shape....

  • Yeah you're right!

  • he mentions 2 sizes for the pickups, which size would fit my epiphone les paul?

    i know nothing about pickups

  • the smaller ones but you'll have to call sd and have them send you a set of long taper pots for your lp

  • for a Les paul you gotta fit the Smaller size ones the bigger ones are mainly for 7 strings

  • Its nice to see someone actually talking about the product they're endorsing instead of mindlessly promoting it.

  • the emgs are cheaper but the blackouts seems to have better tone

  • emgs are actually more expensive =P.

But yes blackouts are btter sounding, that's why I use them =P.

  • wow, competition for the overused emgs

  • do they do a version for a six string guitar?

  • nile rulez but you're an asshole

  • totaly agree!!!

  • DIABEETUS

  • Sorry

  • dino should have a sig ibanez/ibanezs he deserves one.

  • that particular guitar is his custom along with the camo one he plays in the 2nd jamm session

  • cept noone will be worty too have one

  • Holy shit, a 7 string xiphos. I'd buy a xiphos if they weren't made in Indonesia, what a cheap piece of crap.

  • man the xiphos rules!!!

each to his/her own obv lol, but I wouldn't exactly call a near enoough £500 guitar cheap lol

  • cheap quality, not cheap retail cost. it likely costs them $60 to make one

  • well I dunno...in the vid for the Xiphos, they're being hand crafted to some degree..

they gots great pickups, mahogony body...maple neck, rosewood fingerboard...and as Muhamed of Necrophagist said on the video..."if u order a custom shop guitar...u order mahogony, and a maple neck..." etc

  • Definitely not cheap dude. I bought it. It's great everything about it is just so great.

  • I'm sure they are, I've seen and played one. But I don't like the fact that a guitar that has awesome pickups and paint is made in Indonesia.

  • No, the Xiphos was not specificly built for muhamed . As of right now there is only a 6string available but you may see a 7str at the winter NAMM 08

  • Fingerboard looks like Ebony to me? Do Ibanez even offer Seymours of Ebony fingerboards on any of their production or J-Craft models?

  • i don't think so. i haven't seen one with ebony yet. it's probably just really dark rosewood.

as for pickups, they offer Seymour Duncan on some of their models(either SD or Duncan Designed)

  • Thats a bad ass guitar....

    Love to hear it..

  • The guitar is an Ibanez Xiphos. Only comes in 6 string, no 7 string version in production. It was built for bloke outa necrophagist.

  • I can't wait for these things.

  • Woah!, Forget about the pickups for one a sec, whats with the new guitar body dino?!..

  • ibanez's new guitar the xiphos....it looks like the jackson warriors

  • But that's a 7-string... Awesome.

  • ...and the Warrior is basically a copy of the B.C.Rich Stealth.

(Don't get me wrong, i have a 90s Warrior and love it, but i know it's not really an original body shape)

  • stealth looks much uglier than the warrior. big different if you ask me.

  • Awesome. Congrats, Dino.

  • I agree

  • Thanks.
