@570octo well, i actually had the infamous "Static problem", so i had to buy an audio splitter so now the audio isn't going from the easy cap. The white and red audio (RCA) cables, are going to be used as a microphone.

It's complicated, but i hope it should work... :D

Hey to everyone saying this isnt a easycap, knobody knows for sure but him. Buth the thing is a capture card like a ezcap uses your computer to do the recording not the device itself unlike a hd pvr that does most of the capturing itself. Therfore if you are using a 1500 dollar computer with a very good processor, chancs are you could get qaulity close to this.

Whenever I choose pal 50 on my xbox it records fine colour and all, but when I choose pal 60 it doesn't record at all, just black screen. Do I have to buy a new easycap? And yes I need too play on pal 60 as all new games like MW2 use that :(

@oSNiiP3RoP4Vo its the "format" that the xbox sends the video to the tv in. In general, American xboxes use "ntsc" which works with any version of easycap, and European xboxes use PAL 50 or PAL 60. Some games work in in both versions of pal, but others (like cod and halo) only work in pal 60. I had to buy the new version of easycap because I live in the UK so most of my games only work in PAL 60.

@trtlpower The old one is version 2. The new one that supports PAL 60 is version 3.1b or 3.1c (i would recommend getting the b one as it comes with Ulead Video Studio which is much better for recording). The easycap v3.1 is also called "EasyCAP DC60+" the plus sign is important :)

@O0SnapYo PAL, NTSC, and SECAM are formats for sending video over a cable. In general, PAL is used in Europe, NTSC in America, and SECAM in Asia. You can check your country by googling "video formats of the world". PAL 60 is a variation of PAL that updates the screen faster. A Sony TV should definitely support it. It only some of the really old TV's that don't. Hope this helps.

@Mastertomas117 nope, that means that you have an easycap DC60. you need a DC60+ to record PAL 60 in colour, which will show up on the computer as "USB 2681 device" (that number might be slightly wrong i cant remember it exactly)

@DeZiReSniping yea you can use moviemaker if you want. you have to go into Options, and then change the video format there to be widescreen. You can also use ULead Video Studio that comes with the easycap

easycap doesnt support HD. all videos claiming to be "easycap hd" have just been streched out to 720p in video editing. but as long as the laptop is decent it should run easycap fine
