@BuRNTSeeD When people die before their retirement age, the government does not keep the money, they use it to care for people who are living past their predicted life expectancy, people who are in their 80s, 90s, etc, more people are living longer and that's why the social security is running out, when the social security was set up in the 1940s, life expectancy was 70 years for an average American, and the goverment was hoping that they will support you for only 5 years after your retirement.
so thats why our SS is running out.. for some reason I thought in the past decade war expenses were higher than our military tax percentage... hrm.. I guess they simply used hopes and dreams to cover the cost difference.. maybe a sprinkle of rainbows

@BuRNTSeeD When people die before their retirement age, the government does not keep the money, they use it to care for people who are living past their predicted life expectancy, people who are in their 80s, 90s, etc, more people are living longer and that's why the social security is running out, when the social security was set up in the 1940s, life expectancy was 70 years for an average American, and the goverment was hoping that they will support you for only 5 years after your retirement.
