He said they were made for high calories, but an MRE comes with the gum that helps constipation because of the way the food is made. Do these cause constipation? How long do they last?

@coolstuffaddict I'm assuming you're kidding. He means Calories which are the same as kcals. Still 300 kcals does not seem like that much but it's not too bad considering they only weigh ~3 ounces.

@gboyd242 no kidding. I remember looking up kcal. It means "kilo-calories" or "1000 calories". Are you saying that calories spelled with capital C means the same as "1000 calories"? ... and how can you tell that he said it with capital C?

@coolstuffaddict Whaenever you're talking about food it's Calories (kcals) and when you're talking about energy it's calories. Just a weird convention. People in the food business just got tired of saying kilo-calories so they made the convention.
