This is my favourite Winston album. Having tuned for him in concert three times now, I still have not been able to convince him to perform tracks from Summer, but I'll keep trying!
The nice lively (2nd) part of this melody was written by Pete Seeger. It sound great as a piano piece as arranged by Winston...but very few people can play it as well as he can.
I first heard this song in the early 90's but couldn't find out the artist or title. Today I finally rediscovered it.........I think it's one of the most beautiful pieces ever played on a piano. Thanks for posting :) :) :) *****
What a wonderful thing. I can imagine how it must have been listening to this so long ago, wondering who it was and then learning about it more than a decade later. And that moment was yesterday!Awesome:)
As far as I know you can find this piece on George Winston's record called "December". Years ago my parents used to playing this record each evening when my brother and I were falling asleep...
I remember being 5 or 6 and sitting on the bed while my parents were trying to ballroom dance to this song :)

He does do Fragrant Fields in concert sometimes, though. My favourites are Lullaby and Hummingbird, but I like them all.
