It's really too bad...WoW was once a great game. I played from beta until BC and ended up quitting in BC because of how bad it was. Then I tried WotLK and quit again, then I tried one more time with Cata because they were bringing old world stuff back. Again, the game was a joke.

Too easy, and skill is no longer a factor. All about gear which is so easily attainable.

Classic: Skill = Very Hard / Rewarding

Burning Crusade: Coordination / Hard / Rewarding

Wrath: Semi-Coordination tank-n-spank / Medium / Not as Rewarding

Cata: Tank-n-spank / Easy / Not Rewarding

They made the game to easy. I preferred Vanilla and TBC because they both required skill and coordination to complete raids and dungeons. Now in Wrath and Cata you can pull about 12 mobs and kill them all. (<-- TO EASY)

I played Pre-BC to WotLK. I left right before Cataclysm. I just made a trial to see if I should come back. My friend is a DPS Druid with like 100k health. My WotLK TANK had 28k. Now that's ridiculous.

The game was ruined for me the second the BC came out. The challenges of the original WoW were part of what made it so addicting. Even the Night elf run to iron forge for the first time was such a brilliant experience. Now it's all too easy and it's like someone is holding your hand through the entire game. Great video.

Obviously a skewed view of the world of warcaft as is it today. Times change, things change, WoW has changed. Either you enjoy the improvements and offer your opinion on what you want to come, or you cry over little parts that you lost.

And seriously about balancing; you cannot complain about balancing issues on a class to class basis, Blizz has even said themselves that pvp is unbalanced in 2v2, and 1v1. Try to think of the 10 different classes, 3 spec each, 71 talent points to spend between these 3 specs. good luck trying to find a perfect balance where everyone gets to hold hands and can be the best based purely on skill.

I suffer with you WoW back in the days recquired hardcore gaming and skill, if you went back in time and asked for a PuG for Onyxia or MC in Pre-TBC people were gonna laugh in your face and think youre mad, back then you progressed in raids with a huge guild and not just random peeps..

epics back then were luxury that if you had one people knew you were a good player, nowdays anyone can walk around with endgame gear just like "aye I traded it to me the other day for some badges"....

I agree with the class differences now. I played Enchanement shaman all the way up to burning crusade. Back then Shaman vs Paladin was based purely off skill/gear level. Now I go up agianst a paladin I just wait untill I get pwned by them. Back before Burning Crusade the classes where fairly balanced. Now it just goes by the flavor of the month.

1. A mount isn't a personal achievement anymore.

2. They lowered the price by TOO much.

They should have allowed mounts at twenty but for the same price 40s used to have to pay. then the only way you'll be getting amount at 20 was if you had a rich alt, bought gold, or farmed like hell.

Vanilla wow was a great game because it were extremely balanced, and it was hard. There were alot of penalties which pisses us players off at present, but now when we look back, from the WOTLK which is way too easy now, which story is totally ruined, where blizzard has fucked everything up and where all classes is totally unbalanced, we see it...

This video is silly on multiple levels. Wow was never an "elite gamer" type of experience. If you're thinking "vanilla" was tough, go try Eve or one of the competitive FPSes. In regards to content, the video seems to gloss over the fact that the game wasn't remotely done when it was released. 3 raiding zones were still in development pre-BC, Silithus had little to no content, etc. This just seems to be generic Wow backlash -- people disenfranchised with the game who just want to complain.

I ws level 53 when TBC was released, so for me, the wounder of all my gear made worthless never happened

But, I did 70 fast and enjoyed the year or so that i spent getting everything out of TBC with friends,good times,epic memories

Then WOTLK comes along,it lacks that something that TBC endgame held for me, so my friends are like "i miss, i miss".

I think this is about perspective rather than content.I think patch 2.3 was the only *genuine* error by blizz, to make WoW playable by babies

Some good points there. But. Let's recall something... in vanilla WoW you really lacked anything to do if you weren't in raiding guild. Grind in Tyr's Hand? Run Strat Baron for 152th time? Yeah sure, vanilla had good moments... but for the fraction of people. The WoW has become more casual friendly. Now you have *options*. You can go and do dailies, there are epic quests, phasing technology (I'm looking at you Angrathar Gate and Undercity), you can *experience* a lot more now. My two cents.

I sort of understand what you are saying, but if you watched the whole movie I did too link it to the forums.

Compared to other movies, I find my movie more explaining than alot of other videoes, as I also have references such as the interview and item part of the Behind the scenes dvd. That is to break the "text" in the video, and to make the movie more interesting.

Most of the other movies around is more or less whinemovies, but I hope this one ain't one of those. :)

what they should have done with the expansion is release more content that added on to vanilla wow, not be greedy bastards and pay for 10 more levels. The thing about vanilla was that it took so much work to level and grind your gear, getting blues with give you sense of accomplishment and when your got an epic, YOU GOT AN EPIC!
