Audiolingualism is SO SO SO OLD-FASHION, that's why it was discarded in the past, students just repeat and repeat and don't think.

Actually, she tells them what to say, they repeat like parrots and that's it, they don't have a chance to acquire it like this. Maybe some of them but not all of them, it's a dangerous method, making the student confused. It's not a friendly teaching, not at all, they seem frightened.

That is how the Callan Method is supposed to be idiot. Read some about the subject before you say something not helpful

@audreydaniel No, they are supposed to acquire of course. The LADs are not the best in this method. Before you call me an idiot, bear in mind that I was a trainer in this method and I got a framed certificate for being the Best Teacher back in Nov 2006.

I have extensive teaching exp, dating back to Oct 2001. This method is only good for beginners and has to be taught correctly and you have to hope that the ss aren't tired.

The dictation is an integral part of the method. It gives the student a sense of achievement when they can spell words they hear.

The teacher's delivery of the Callan Method is very good. I didn't think there was much point in the video showing the dictation as the emphasis is mainly on speaking with the Method.
