wow i was on chat with a palm rep last night for 3 hrs trying to figure this out and u helped me figure it out in a 3 min vid bahahah palm sucks more and more these days
i tried resetting my pixi this way and it kept saying my phone was the wrong version or something.
and JbiGTv, have you tried the button restart? press the colored button (i heard Pre is orange, and on Pixi is white, but under the "A" button), the "Sym" button, and the "R" button at the same time. it's kinda like ctrl + alt + delete for Palm. ^^
ok i have the palm pre i guess is the plus cus is from verizon n i followed all your steps i dont have the password for the screen lock so im stuck any ideas buddy i want to reset it

you shot yourself in the foot on this video, now that you resetted your settings you cant get the virtual keyboard in webOS quick intsall because it has updated will no current patches. im pissed cause i cant get that keyboard haha
i dont think its the preware but i will check the video but what i think it is; is the package manager service... i need to update that. do you know how to do that?
i wanna know how to delete a theme without deleting anything else because when i go to my "installed packages" it doesnt show themes... and im tryin to install a new theme.

You may have a older preware software. try installing a newer software. I have a video on it.

you need to do a java restart i believe. in preware on the palm pre you need to update it and then it will ask for a java update
