  • good song, crappy video

  • Dokken rocks. George Lynch is def. one of the better guitarists out there.

  • god, i used to LOVE dokken...i forgot HOW F**KING great they are

  • Great times when the guys in rock bands really know to play the guitar, not just 2-3 riffs repeated over and over again like shitty bands from now . George Lynch is the best! Jeff is also awesome.

  • I must say I totally agree with you.

I'm 17 so have grown up around things like Linkin Park, which I suppose would be classed as heavy grunge.

It's all VERY depressing, death, pain etc etc,

I've been in to 70's / 80's music since I was young, my Dad got me in to it - and it ALWAYS has the feel good factor, especially Dokken, W.A.S.P, Danger Danger, Skid Row, Cinderella..

God I wish I'd grown up in the 80's instead of the noughties lol.

  • At least now all the 80's music is out. I do prefer music in the 80's than now, a lot more melodic and it meant something.

  • I'm 19 and I totally agree dude!!! XD

  • as don got older he got unhot

  • grunge is the DEVIL! it's all sad and melancholy and shit- as if life doesn't suck enough at times. But, yes, we do have the good ol 80s to remind us of a better time. AWESOME! George Lynch is God...

  • What a solo man that kicked ass

  • Man, that is one of the best descriptions of today's music I have ever read. EXCELLENT!

  • Dokken kisk's ass and george lynch is a beast!!!

  • great song

  • THE BEST SOLO.. EVER

  • exactly bro thats the thing, the art of the album is lost as well, people are supposed to buy albums with pics, songs, and whatnot inside with the booklet with epic album covers, now we just have itunes...

  • Ah, yes, the "Good ole days!"

  • I Love glam metal its life was to short,Fuck grunge, grunge was not rock it was a bunch of fags who played shity music, the 80s was the best time for rock you got poison, motley crue, bon jovi, ratt,my good it changed in one night.once nirvana came out it killed glam metal but its still alive, its still there this bands still make new albums like saints of LA,so ya FUCK GRUNGE!

  • I agree 100%.

  • looks more like the 80s lol

  • Thats cause this WAS filmed in the 80s.

  • COOL

  • 1986, I will never forget that yr. When i first put a foot in this wonderful, beautiful country of us.

  • 1:59.don just dances onto screen hahahaha

  • The whole band was loaded with talent. I think Dokken was the best 80's rock band.

  • I agree. Lynch/Pilson was real. I mean just listen to the solo on this song with the killer bass line beneath it. Epic.

  • Just alittle tidbit 4 ya.I was a big fan of the band back in the 80s.But I have recently found out(per DON DOKKEN)-that him & George Lynch couldn't stand each other.George even attacked him once in a hotel.Pretty wild stuff seeing how the band made it that long.Oh well.

  • Because both guys loved the band, so nobody wanted to quit:P

  • man, if thisa group had a better vocalist they would be one of the all time greats. George Lynch is an amazing guitarist, Mick Brown is a pure power drummer and jeff Pilson is a very good Bassist and backup vocalist but Don Dokken is lame, no power or range. By the way Lynch's solo in this song won solo of the year by guitar player mag when it was released. Lynch Rules !! Fastest Fingers Alive

  • Hey, I'm in my 30's, grew up on this stuff, and I still love it, and, just remember, a woman hits her sexual peak in her 30's. :)

  • actually its 40's

    You're 10 years away, lol.

  • I'm 32 and couldn't agree with you more.

  • !!! RIP GRAND AM ELLI !!!

  • Youre too cool young man

  • The first time i heard this song i thought it was lame. but then i heard the solo and that changed everything. amazing.

  • This video demonstrates:

George Lynch has more talent in his little finger than most other guitarists

  • He can't touch the late great Steve Clark.

  • I agree.

  • if you like AC/DC go I recomend you Airbourne, youre really gonna like it

  • now i am not a h.metal fan but this band like others of that time like iron maiden and queensryche had what the bands of today din`t have and it is MELODY.

  • Actually Iron Maiden still has it and they are kicking out new music. And yeah today's "Metal"

is nothing but bland crap about hate and emotion.

  • dokken is great they were great with gorge then he quite know my dad wont go to there concerts

  • great band!! whoever doesnt like this band is a complete loser!

  • such amazing melodies!!!

  • no im an adult retard

if i was 5 i shouldn't know how to read moron

and im old enough to do it with ur mom

  • The best of the 80s Metal Hair Bands! Great tunes and George Lynch rules!

  • I really miss this kinda music so bad it needs to come back. These guys are legends!

  • I know. I saw these guys with a bunch of my buddies with Poison and Sebastian Bach. We are all about 16 and they thought Dokken sucked but they liek Sebastian (because he has some heavy metal shit) and Poison becuase they have a lot fo known hits. But I was like come on guys Dokken was awesome. Poison was the best but Dokken kicks ass. They just don't understand great music. Def Leppard are the best band ever though!

  • nothing personal, but Def Leppard is on a different pedistal than the rest of the great metal bands, as i do not consider them metal, as far as Metal goes Dokken is easily top 5 of all it's sad as stated a little above me that they got very little credit, most of it went to the Hair Metal/Metal ballad era groups (poison, winger, skid row, et all); would love to see them, Enuff Z'nuff(the old band though that can never happen now), Krokus & Night Ranger in concert, it'd never happen though...

  • I realize Def Leppard are not metal, but nether is Dokken buddy. Metal is Metallica, this is pure rock. And you are just thinking Hysteria Def Leppard. I doubt you know anything about High and Dry Def Leppard. They were a harder rock band than Dokken. They were old school 70's sounding rock.

  • actually i do know about HnD Def Leppard hell i even have that album + On Through the Night in my radio on cassette so yeah i do realize THAT Def Leppard exists, that is the Def Leppard i loved, i like the newer stuff it's just after Adrenalize they sounded a LITTLE too new-age to me... all i've listened to since i turned like 6 has been heavy metal/ballad rock so i know a little more than people give me credit for despite my age.

  • I am 16 but I definatley hate new rock. I love the 80's mostly. The 70's had some good shit too. But I was just saying if you put Dokken in a metal category and not pre-Hysteria Def Leppard. Than I just thought that was totally wrong. Because they were heavier than Dokken. I love Dokken. But Def Leppards first two albums are what I like, old school hard rock all the way. And sorry for being an ass.

  • It's about damn time we see some teenagers who can appriciate 80's rock. That's fucking hard to come by. You're right man, Def Leppard was heavy back on their first 3 albums "On Through The Night", "High N Dry", and "Pyromania".

  • Yeah. I am about the only kid in my school who likes this shit but I don't care. They can have their rap and hip-hop.

  • Rap and hip hop sucks! This is music!!

  • AMEN!

Dokken + 80's rock and metal own!

  • I agree as well.

  • Yeah it does.

  • !!! RIP GRAND MA ELLI !!!

  • I WAS WATCHING THIS AND MY & YEAR OLD SON THOUGHT DON DOKKEN WAS THE UNDERTAKER! lol!

  • lol

  • cuz of the hat

  • !!! RIP GRAND MA ELLI !!!

  • !!! RIP GRAND MA ELLI !!!

  • he look like EL ZORRO but in the rockstar version!

    hail dokken!

  • hahah who's the lead singer? He is a dead-ringer for SRV in the Superstition clip

  • don dokken

  • Don Dokken

  • good guitar, lead singer is gay im sry

  • hahah he's wearing an Estaban hat

  • LYNCH!!!!!

  • some hot looking black chic's group did a remake of this song. 3 females, very hot, i can't remember who they were. ??

  • Lynch

  • !!! RIP GRAND MA ELLI !!!

  • Although i dont really care much for dokken, George Lynch is a great guitarist

  • how come i never heard of these guys before

  • Don't they have music stores on the planet you live on?You cannot be serious that you have never heard of Dokken.Just saw Lynch Mob and George's playing and sound is simply awesome. His sound live puts many 2 guitar bands to shame.

  • Because your 23 and still wet behind the ears!

Dokken was rocking before you were a thought!

  • Not Funny

  • belive me this is one of the best solos in the world! long live dokken!!!

  • Guitar magazine awarded this effort by Lynch the "Solo of the Year" in 1985. Guitar magazine couldn't do that today, the guitar players of today don't have a CLUE how to lay down a classic solo like this.

  • I REMEMBER THAT!!! He was on the cover with Billy Sheehan.

  • My favourite guitar Solo..!!George lynch rules...!!

  • lynch is so underrated he is an amazing guitar player

  • Ihave seen these guys in concert, with Priest many moons ago, when this song came out... They rocked -

  • Yep, me too......seen them in 1987 in Philadelphia. Man are we old??

  • not old. just experienced. we were there for the glory days of metal and never forget that!

  • this band is awsome they dont make music like this no more

  • The note selection in that solo was superb. Seen Lynch at his clinics twice and enjoyed every note. This guy is "God" status on the axe.

  • The cymbal crashes at 2:55 is the coolest effect ever!!!

  • Here's what is totally sad, I grew up listening to this guy. I can remember driving in my car listening to Dokken (back in the 80's) they were the coolest guys ever. Even after the "Mirror, Mirror" phase. I just visited George's website!!! And he is still the MASTER, but DAMN! he makes me feel old! He has grey hair! I guess time waits on no man!

  • I totally agree. It happens to even the best of us (that's everyone). One day you (have, or will) look in the mirror and think "Damn I'm getting old!". It really sucks! Myself, I just immediately snap into denial mode and keep movin' on. : )

  • I saw Dokken many times in the 80's. But I saw George Lynch here in Omaha when he was doing 'Lynch Mob' in a small club. That guy was/is a MONSTER on guitar. He did a 10 minute solo that also doubled as a physical workout, no jumping or crazy stuff, he slowly worked his way down to one knee and was twisted to his left, intense facial concentration/contortions, sweating and all. I was tired and a little scared when he was done. That sounded gay but the guy is an absolute monster!

  • my dad opened for dokken in the early 90's after lynch left. he said he used to hang w don dokken.

  • george lynch. great guitarrist.

  • Sweet 80's Cheese!

  • Gross hair, obscene solo wanking... great stuff!

  • Your friends dad is DON DOKKEN??? LIAR!!

  • hahaha so weird seeing this. mr dokken is definitely my friends dad.

    oh hair bands..

  • My band's main influence is actually Dokken!

  • You suck.Dokken was the best metal band of the 80's,so shut your mouth.

  • ok buddy tell me the name a of a band that rocked harder, partied harder, and just did their thing more than any hair metal band

  • crew

  • Metallica

  • this takes me back to my teen years, god i'm old

  • rock on !

  • Went to a Blue Oyster cult concert. After Slaughter opening I was in a bad mood and not enthused about this Dokken band coming up to play making me wait longer to see BOC. The band showed up and the first few songs I was still pissed but by the end of the set I was in absolute Nirvana and admired the band greatly. What a kickass perforance! They were called back THREE TIMES for encores and were much better than BOC! And this was on '08 concert!

  • !!!!RIP FREED!!!!

  • BRING BACK THE 80"S!!!!!!!!!

  • i wasnt a teen i was like 11 or 12 but this stuff used to rule MTV, what the hell happened..? : [

  • GOOD BRING BACK THE 80"S... I loved being a teen back then! getting laid daily and .... getting laid daily!

  • We all miss those days... when everyone was a hooker, no one cared if you were trippin' in public, and most of all, we had great music like this!

  • hahaha! Ok I will go with that. And wasnt the 80's easier to get along with everyone? I found life and people to be easier going and loose, not so up tight.

  • that's what I said, no one really had a problem with anything, and everyone was friendlier.

  • and you didnt have to worry about sombody trying to kill you for no fuckin reason.

  • That's always good!

  • tripping in public is totally looked down on nowadays, its noone elses biznos whats happening from the eyes inward,i think it scares people thinking you might get them and eat their cloudy day souls...as for being a hooker?i presume your talkin about rugby?this era of rock will never be surpassed!peacex

  • cheezy lyrics. kick ass. in some weird way.

  • I really like this SONG.

    The Video?

I really could've done without Richie Sambora-esque dude in the Fringy-Morris Day-Zorro outfit.

Leather outfit + Several hour video shoot with water raining = Bad

  • I went to a Dokken concert in 1986 in a different life. Don Dokken caught an empty pint bottle of Jack to the face and did not miss a beat. Say what you want about him but I was impressed.

  • the 80's , back when the lyrics meant something, you could understand what they were saying. My dad used to turn the 80's music down imagine if I played this new junk!

  • You honestly think limp fuckstick is better than this??....shows how intelligent you are :)

  • lmfao

  • Dokken rocks!!

  • wow the drumming around 2:45 was insane cool witht he water slashing all over

  • limp shitstick SUCKS!!!!! bunch of sell outs who cant sing, or play HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

  • limp bizkit are a bunch of fags, just like you.

u cant handle this music, u dont like it, then leave u fuck tard! This music will always be better then anything you would ever listen to. You don't like it cuz they don't say "fuck" every 2 seconds, suck a dick!

  • lmao!

  • In my dreams, your love is strong it still remains......... : (

  • Age has nothing to do with it. And the other thing is what do you consider to be old. No matter who old you think this band is the younger so called metal bands of today can't compare to the real metal bands of the 80's.

    Lynch is amazing.

  • I agreeeee!!!

  • LOL! I stumbled across this video and I remember totally rocking out to it back in the day! That fuckin solo still fucking owns! I wish I woulda made that shit up!!!

  • I had the biggest crush on these guys when I was a teenager! I still think they're great!

  • tremenda la banda de don dokken, son unicos

  • Estoy de acuerdo contigo. Son muy talentosos.

  • Pretty intense video from a pretty intense band.

From 2.21 to 2.55 George Lynch and Mick Brown owned the video. Superb.

  • Dokken is my favorite 80's band ever.THIS is real music.I'm sure not one rapper on this Earth can play a guitar like George Lynch, nonetheless hit three chords on a guitar

  • great riff

  • great band

  • YAY! Mick found another Tom since "Breaking the Chains..."

  • Hell, this guy lynch really rocks. Still simple but effective as hell, really great job... I wish they have the DVD of "beast from the east", probably one of the best live rock performances ever.

  • Well said, man. Go buy a good strato, a 100W amp and blast away all those fukin assholes we see on MTV every day!

  • i saw them live a few weeks ago and it was a kickass concert.a damn it yea they are my favorite band cuz they rule...

  • MY FAVE SONG BY THE BEST 80s BAND!!!!!!

  • I remember in the guitar magazines in 1986: This song was voted by the readers as Guitar 'Solo of the Year'. Very wicked solo. Awesome song! I spent hours & hours working on that solo...Thanks for this video! Rock on!

  • Great guitar work and Don's voice goes well with the music

  • George lynch is so cool

  • I love at 2:48 where he is playing the drums in the rain or whatever

  • Help Dokken get at least a million Saw them live 3 weeks ago with poison and sabastian bach it was amazing

  • awesome ...remember not being able to take my eyes off this vid each time it came on...
