  • Poor Pete was poisened by an asshole on the set crew. Later years Darla had some guys beat the piss out of him dry.

  • Spanky was loved and is missed by millions. He was genuine class. Lots of child actors become loathsome little jerks. This guy had his feet on the ground and that's a rare thing today for anyone in show biz.

  • ha he was born in a small town called denison, texas, and thats where i live.

  • Hey,...that guy doing the intro at 2:32 looks and sounds like "Goober" from The Andy Griffith Show.

  • @ZMonster06

It was. His name is George Lindsey

  • Spanky was such a Texan! His accent is very cool. Everyone liked this man. He was down to earth.

  • he was my favorite little rascal

  • What a refreshingly humble demeanor from someone who was once a child actor. Not too many of those former child actors make it out of Hollywood with their feet on the ground.

  • RIP Spanky. Even after your death, America still loves you.

  • thanks for posting this video!

  • You wait until YOU'RE almost 60 years old and let's see how YOU look.

Besides, you're just jealous that, though he's been dead for 16 years, he did something so long ago that STILL matters to millions of people ...

... unlike a worthless turd like YOU, who will undoubtedly live your pitiful life and then die without having meant ANYTHING to ANYONE ...

  • harrytuttle100: Only the first 13 colonies, a small portion of what the USA is today had anything to do with your tiny and divided island called England, the disunited kingdom. How can you insult an innocent child actor like George "Spanky" McFarland you brute and ignorat psychopath bloke? You are a disgrace to England.

  • I never said the United States was "great" ... but when you "diss" Spanky McFarland, you show your ignorance and "diss" YOURSELF, you crumpet eating poof!

  • But we have good teeth :) and we know how to spell suicide :) Love ya, mate

  • omg! that's my great great grandfather my mom always talks about him so i typed in hes name and this is what came up im so happy to see him for the first time

  • Wow. If that's true, that's so cool! I kind of wish I was related to Stymie. To me he was the coolest of them all!!! Peace.

  • I'll always love the little rascals. They were my favorite.

  • SPANKY!!!! you still look the same. You are a star in the sky.

  • Our gang was a priceless treat for the world.. Innocent times,

  • lmao oh the things made of crap

when i was little i used to just dream of making priceless things like that

  • did he die?

  • Yeah he died in 1993 from a heart attack

  • Those were the best shows. Nothing like this on TV nowadays...everything is sex violence and sex. I hate todays message to our kids. Hollywood has become a pusher of crap!.

  • I Love SPANKY!

  • He is not a Fake. This is the true Spanky McFarland.

  • I thought that he promoted a boot shop and

a video concern during his last years of life?

  • Spanky did an ad for Justin Boots, as the Justin family were personal friends. Spanky was my oldest brother and I have just discovered these videos on You Tube. He was a wonderful man with a great big heart who loved kids. I miss him so very much.

  • Spanky was the best, I can remember The little rascals from the time I was five, I have every episode now. One of my favorite episodes is "Divot Diggers" I watch atleast three times a week

  • That is so cool that he was your brother. He seemed like a nice guy

  • He sure was a cute little baby boy.

  • The rascal who was proven fake was a Buckwheat impostor, and it was Spanky here who proved it.

  • It must have been amazing to live back in those early days and watch how this country evolved and changed so much throughout the decades.

  • It would be fun to be a Little Rascal Historian! I love these kids so much! We even watched 'Hook and Ladder' at church about 4 or 5 years ago

  • I wish they let us watch "Hook and Ladder" at our church! These shows were priceless. Nothing can beat them.

  • It was for Children's Church. We filmed this short-film thing for the church and it was like a modern-day version of The Little Rascals. So the leaders rented A Little Rascal video and it had Hook and Ladder on it. This was about 5 years ago. :)

  • Is that George "Goober" Lindsey introducing Spanky?

  • I was there and took this video with a big VHS. And, good observation! Yes, Goober was the "host" or "emcee", of sorts.

  • Awesome.

  • Spanky was a great guy...he loved talking Rascals I understand...man,I'd love to sit and talk to him about those days!

  • Alfalfa and Buckweat are my favorites, it must have been hard for them living in a cursed world.

  • Thanks for sharing this! Very cool!

    -- Matt

  • Isn't there supposed to be some sort of curse on the Rascals?

  • I would've love to just sit and talk to him all day.

About his experience with Our Gang, and Carl Switzer..

    Maybe in heaven one day!?

  • Ah, yes

  • We watched the Firefighter one at church.

  • This is great! Thanks for posting this video.
