shit, this game was a true upset. not one of those games where the ranked team is playing a strong team on the road, and u think "maybe they'll lose." this was #1 at home against a 41 pt. underdog. great game, great moment for stanford
Damn I missed this game does anyone know where I could get a replay video of the game??? At ESPN's website maybe? please help guide me in the right direction someone.
Stanford would be a better team with more black players. They'll never win a NC without a black RB and all black O and D line. Whites will only get you so far because they are not as strong nor athletic as blacks. Blacks rule the field.
@OhMyCrotch U little racist FUCK! Notice that "Blacks Rule the Field" uh huh. I bet< i bet they also rule the Jails, welfare lines, medicare lines,, child support lines, remedial reading classes, etc. How does that sound? Ur so racist dude. Listen to MLK jr once Clolr dosent matter. It all comes down to STUDENT ATHLETES and there performance. White people and black people and asians and whoever can all be athletic enough to play sports
well one of the reasons y stanford beat usc 55-21 was because usc has a very young team and our defensive coach and offensive coach were gone. and we had a freshy qb. but i accept the usc loss to stanford cause upsets happens a lot. but usc's offensive coach after steve sucked a lot. and our defense has a good coach but our players are gone like brian coushing, redrey, but taylor mays was there. but tat was a good effort from stanford. (im a usc fan btw)
It was the Stanford Indians until some "Native Americans" complained.
Stanford caved immediately.
They should have just let the out of work assholes open a casino on campus. That surely would have shut them up. It's how our government placates the whiners.
first of all it is very ethno-centric to call them indians when they are really native americans. besides having one of those big ass sequoia trees as the symbol for the team makes more sense anyway for the state they live in
How about the "Stanford Free Lifetime Healthcare, Free Higher Education, Free Housing Casino Owning Never Shut The Fuck Up Native Americans"?
Since everybody is cutting redwoods, may I suggest a more fitting symbol would be a Tower of Babel surrounded at it's base with the tents of the American Homeless. Perhaps you could cap the tower with a sombrero.
It should be the "Cal Rich Kids" and the "Stanford Wealthy Kids"
What's so funny is USC only plays two ranked teams which one I believe is in the last half of the top 5. Where as Texas and Flordia have to play a lot tougher teams. USC only gets ranked because they can kill PAC-10 teams and the PAC-10 is weak. They only win because their in a weak conference.
You can't spell "suck" without a U, S, and a C. Just rearrange the first three letters and add a K.
USC went into this season with 4-5 teams looking at being in the top 25: ohio state, notre dame (close loss at michigan), cal, oregon, and possibly oregon state and ucla can soon be ranked teams, seeing as ucla won at tennessee and oregon state will play cincinnatti, the winner of last year's bcs orange bowl. why did georgia get destroyed? and tennesee lose to ucla? etc etc. SEC is sooooo tough. big 12? oklahoma state lost to houston? oklahoma lost to BYU? big 12 is soooo tough.
at least Utah was undefeated...you lost to Stanford and Oregon State haha. In the 2008 season, Utah beat Oregon State, and Oregon State beat USC so, isn't Utah>USC let me check my logic oh here is the Ap poll Utah is ranked number 2 and USC is ranked number 3 so, they were better idiot.
Lol. That's "logic?" So... Since BYU beat Oklahoma, and Arizona beat BYU in the Las Vegas bowl... that makes Arizona better than Oklahoma and should be in the top 10 too!?! Wow. Good logic. Utah went undefeated after a season of playing Weber State, Air Force, Wyoming, Colorado State, UNLV, etc. No wonder they went undefeated. Just shows how overrated Alabama really was. I mean, did USC lose their bowl game? The game that come end of the season actually matters? Nope :)
Ps. USC only lost 1 game last season, to Oregon State. Oregon State went 9-4, just like the Ole Miss team that won AT the swamp. So... your logic would say that since Oregon State and Ole Miss had the same 9-4 record, the loss was worse for Florida because they played at home while USC was on the road? I mean, Oregon State DID play on the road at Penn State, played that "good" Utah team you mentioned... So........
yea sure keep playing teams like Vandy and Arkansas...to bad Alabama has 4-2 record against USC all time...and get out of the Rose Bowl any one can beat Big 10 teams even Navy is close to beating them...Also fun fact for you from my cousin who works within the NCAA he told me you are going to be put on probation in the next 3 years and they are likely to vacate wins so, keep running your mouth
Usc wins their bowls because its at the rose bowl. Lets face it it, its a home game which really isnt fair for the big ten. Also the big ten has been weak lately.
Because they play at the rose bowl? So why did USC just win at Ohio State's horseshoe? why did they destroy Oklahoma in the Orange bowl in Miami. why did they win at Auburn? at Notre Dame? at Arkansas? at Nebraska? at virgina tech?
U said bowl wins. The game on saturday wasnt a bowl game. They won tht game because ohio state lacks a good offense. If u played any other top ten team other then LSU like tht u would have got demolished. the past 3 bowl games have been against a weak big ten conference at home. They say carrol wins his big games, but what top 10 team other then a big ten team have u played in the past 6 years.
exactly my point. USC is dying to play one because every year we're stuck with some shit team that doesn't belong there. and they get blown out. rather than seeing a competitive USC vs UF or LSU. something. anything.
@farc300 u got a point but its not like usc winning by 3 points they r beating them by 20 to 40 points each time. plus usc beat osu at the horseshoe i doubt moving it somewhere else would of change a win or lost it mite be a couple points closer thats it
then they went 8-5 the year after. Then Houston Nutt leaves Arkansas for Ole Miss and Bobby Petrino comes in (his first year, Arky goes 5-7. 2-6 in the SEC)
Like Tommy at Auburn, Petrino spent 10 years @ Arkansas.
It's not the coaching changes because of detrioration....it's the other way around. Auburn and Arkansas were still good (minus the year Arky was clobbed by USC 70-13) and the year after,
I don't expect Auburn or Arkansas to have a good year this year.
No, I said Florida and LSU would be the only teams to handle USC on a year by year basis. South Carolina....Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Arkansas (already lost twice to USC) Auburn (see Arkansas)
What does new coaches have anything to do with USC's 4-0 mark over the SEC this decade?
If the SEC actually played legit OOC games, they wouldn't look nearly as dominate. Anybody can make a bowl game in the SEC when 3-4 games are against directional schools
No, you said that only Florida and LSU could give USC "a run for their money," implying that USC would still beat both teams.
With regard to the coaching changes, the SEC schools I mentioned are referenced by you USC folks as a demonstration to USC's dominance over SEC teams. The SEC teams I mentioned all have had coaching changes because of their deterioriation in competitiveness in the SEC. In other words, these teams were going downhill anyway and were not that good.
OK, Florida, USC and LSU would give each other a run for their money....that sounds fair given their track record in the BCS era.
Don't know where you are going with your second paragraph because Auburn has fallen off because Auburn went undefeated the year after USC beat the twice in a row...and that was with Tommy Tuberville, who just stepped down this year....5 years after their 13-0 season.
USC won @ Arky 50-14 the same year they took the SEC West and won 10 games.....cont.
are you fucking retarded? what's a legit OOC game? georgia played arizona state last year when AZ state was predicted to be good. tenn plays a team from the WAC 10 every year. they destroyed cal a couple years ago. florida plays florida state every year. they play every conference. get a clue homeboy. the SEC has won the last 3 NC's.
when ASU WAS (key word WAS), Tenn gets credit where it's due, Florida also played Hawaii (not close to the BCS team they were a couple years ago).
Georgia, Florida and South Carolina will get off a bit knowing they have cross-state rivals from the ACC, even if it's the ACC, but Arkansas, LSU, Kentucky, Auburn, Bama, Ole Miss, Miss St, Arkansas's OOC's....
i dont know how anyone can comment on this video saying USC is spectacular, Only 30% of USC's players graduate from USC, same with all that SEC garbage. Stanford only accepts about 7-8% of the people that apply because they care about academics. And 97% of the football players graduate. And finally to prove my point, go to google, type USC. Google suggests "USC football" search STANFORD. Google suggests "Stanford University". Hail, Stanford, Hail
USC would go into the SEC and school everybody in there. Only Florida and LSU could give them a run for their money on a year-by-year basis, but they are in opposite divisons
And talking "over-rated", wasn't Georgia pre-season #1 last year, how did that turn out? How about when Alabama was ranked #1 nearly all year, how did their last 2 games turn out for them? In general their were 6 SEC pre-season top 25 teams and at the end of the year, there were only 3.
You're sitting there dissing the SEC talking about how "overrated'" the conference is and how it would be a cake-walk for USC to go up against an SEC team.
By the way, Auburn, Tennessee and Miss St. have new coaches this year and Arkansas a second-year coach. So much for that big 'USC triumph' over the SEC.
It was an SEC team that won the National Championship. Who cares about pre-season Top 25 ! The SEC is still a much more competitive conference than the Pac-10.
Every week? Is that why Florida plays Florida International, Troy, and Charleston Southern? SEC pads their win column with the equivelent of high school teams.
I know what he said dumb dick, the point is how can you measure the relative strength of a conference when nearly every team begins the season 3-0 while playing D-II schools?
Really? Every team except Arizona has had at least a share of the Pac-10 title since 1997, how many of the bottom feeding teams in the SEC can say they have won the conference? The Pac-10 is the definition of competitive.
USC shows up in big games like no other team in the country. Unfortunately they don't deserve to be in the NC games because the sleepwalk through their incredibly weak conference and drop a game to patsy every year. UCLA 2006, then Stanford 2007 , then Oregon State 2008
umm dude fairly sure it was the other way around. stanford were celebrating so hard they didn't shake hands with the usc players and i know that for a fact you asshole because i watched it on tv and the commentators said it.
im not that pissed that sc lost that one. because the stanford guy that caught the winning touchdown. his dad died like 4 days before that so good for him.
michigan? i think you need a little recap of the last 3 times usc has played michigan. michigan gets blown out every time. soon will be ohio state's turn.
Michigan lost to Appy State which really set the trend for those type of upsets and Michigan gave Toledo it's first win for the mighty MAC at a Big 10 school
First of all, all you USC FUCKS who are wearing cowboy hats TAKE EM' OFF! You ain't no COWBOYS and you SURE AS HELL ain't no Southerners! All us LSU National Champions say GOOD GOING, STANFORD! Way to wipe those fucking avacado eating, Hollywood FAGGOT Trojans' asses! Yeeeeee HAAAAAAAAAAAAW!

1) the best USC can get is a Rose Bowl? and if they don't win the pac-10 but are in the top 10? that's a BCS bid to the fiesta or sugar bowl, buddy.

Yeah, and look what they did to USC. Well good USC redeemed themselves this year... and man it looked like a repeat until the 4th quarter.

USC showed their lack of class, and that starts with the coaches, after the game when they didn't shake hands with the Cardinal players.
JamJHolmes 3 years ago
umm dude fairly sure it was the other way around. stanford were celebrating so hard they didn't shake hands with the usc players and i know that for a fact you asshole because i watched it on tv and the commentators said it.
BigBara 3 years ago
im not that pissed that sc lost that one. because the stanford guy that caught the winning touchdown. his dad died like 4 days before that so good for him.

Stanford's defense is completely beast this year. We're no undoubtedly goin to a bowl game if the offense gets goin.
lol262510 3 years ago
I can easily see Stanford win 7 games, as long as there pre-season isn't too tough

GO MICHIGAN!
2 words for USC: OVERRATED. Gonna lose 3 games this year!
Theaterman527 3 years ago
michigan? i think you need a little recap of the last 3 times usc has played michigan. michigan gets blown out every time. soon will be ohio state's turn.
trojanLow 3 years ago
Michigan lost to Appy State which really set the trend for those type of upsets and Michigan gave Toledo it's first win for the mighty MAC at a Big 10 school
