  • not as good as a nascar burnout!

  • @ballin2104 but then, in a second, he got away and the nascar said goodbye in really sad mood.

  • @ballin2104 I'm just saying that F1 is so fast that the Nascar is left from behind.

  • @VitorVitoriaBaia yeah consider a stock car weighs 3,500 lbs and a f1 car maybe 1000 and they shift with a button? stock cars actually have to shift... a f1 car only reaches maybe 220 mph a nascar without restrictor plates can go 280 ...

  • @ballin2104 not even close,f1 is faster no matter which way you cut it. removing a restictor plate isn't going to give you a 1000hp and even then nascar is way to heavy even with that much power to go that fast.

  • @riflemanjim maybe not 280 but rusty wallace went 220 mph at daytona...which doesnt have a very long straight away and he said he wasnt even going as fast as he could...now if the nascar weighed about the same as an F1 the nascar would go about 280...

  • @ballin2104 Ah you still don't have enough power, nascar would make about 850 hp unrestricted. The cars also have a much larger profile so even with more power they wouldn't be as fast, let alone them weighing more. The fastest F1 cars were the v-10 those cars made about 850-900 hp and had a smaller profile and weight. They did however have substantial down force/drag they were lucky to hit in the mid 220 range. The fastest f1 on record is at the salt flats with no wings at about 256 mph.

  • @riflemanjim like i said....f1's r very light if u had a nascar weighing tht much...different story

  • @ballin2104 No the profile of nascar is much larger so even if they were the same weight there would be more air for nascar to push and there would also be more drag behind the car,so even if they weighed the same nascar would be slower.

  • @riflemanjim It's a totally different game. F1 is street circuit. NASCAR is oval track. F1 is single seater open wheel prototypes. NASCAR is closed wheel stock cars. It'd make a lot more sense to compare F1 to the old CHAMP cars from the 90s but even then the main differences are a result of different rules and funding, not a difference in engineering prowess.

  • @thekkl Thats not what is being said, the claim was that nascar without the restrictor plate would be faster. There is no way removing that plate is going to make nascar faster than F-1 period. Back in the 90's nascar made maybe 850 hp with a heavy car. Removing that plate won't give you enough power period.

  • @riflemanjim I understand, and what I was saying is that of course F1 is faster, they have a completely different ruleset.

  • @thekkl Yes,some other folks don't seem to get the message.

  • Going to the one at Silverstone in a couple of weeks, can't wait.

  • nice. :)
