It started in the Toon .................. rez has a lot o be thankful for, considering the idea orignally came from sleepy little Prudhoe ! The Royal Highland Showground made it in to the Rez we all know and love. Im a purist so love the fact it it was the |Toon that gave birth to one of Raves BIGGEST events ever !!!

every one i speak to has a different opinion on where this was shades played at the mayfair and trhc john ludford the guy who put the event on cant even be certain i danced at this rave and i am pritty much sure it was the mayfair but the question rumbles on who knows the truth is out there

Its not at the mayfair, its ingleston, im a geordie and the mayfair had a great big balcony all the way round it. Its to bigger crowd for the downstairs area inside the old mayfair.

Seen u lot at both Newcastle and Inglestone, Think I even seen u play the rave at Whitley bay ice rink 2 but it's all a bit of a haze, I do remember the rez in the Mayfair Newcastle had a balcony around it, if that helps, But If I fight thru the haze of my memorys, was it not till about 92-93 that the REZ shafted the toon and buggered off to Scotland........Happy-Days tho.. Well from what i can remember.. Heaven on Earth helped with our love of the dove.

This wasn't at the Mayfair! It was at the Rezzerection at Edinburgh. The only decent event that happened around Newcastle was the Nocturnal on Cramlington fields and I can't remember Shades of Rhythm being there (unless I was so out of it I missed them lol)

Thats right, I went to about 8 Rezzers in Newcastle, and only went to the 1st in Edinburgh in 1992. Have to say though, I don't remember the Mayfair looking that big... mind you, I was totally off ma face each n every time!!!
