Did any Mustang ever come with an independent rear suspension from the factory? That's my only issue with the Mustang. Is the paint original factory? If not, somebody did a real good job.
take the valve covers off and re-tighten the rollers loosen the nut one and at time and the tighten up till the noise on that roller stops you must do this will the car is running, and the smoke will go away after awhile due to its a fresh motor
Sounds to me like either a lifter is not pumping up, or a roller rocker is not adjusted properly, my 90 gt with holley heads and harland sharp 1.6's did the same thing, had to readjust the rocker about 3 times to get it to properly seat. Pull off the valve covers after letting run to pump oil to the lifters then readjust all the rockers in that head, 1/4 turn past zero lash. If it keeps happening pull the lifters and put in a new set.

@surfwes21 no offens , but if theres water in my oil when you sell me a vehicle im gonna be pissed! Had you tuned it properly the valves wouldnt needa retune or cause that to happen. ?I had a 02 built z24, i sold it to a guy, had it safetied and tested the day before, and he blew the motor from not knowing how to drive stick.

i did that same string trick to measure for a belt to re-rout my belt to bypass the smog pump since it seized up and both bolts decided to twist off lol... the guy at advanced auto argued with me saying that there is now way to bypass a smog pump, i look at him like the tard he his and said, just give me an 84.5 inch belt lol
