  • TKentT, you really should do a walk around of this machine.

  • Bad ass sno blower

  • How is the old girl doing this year (2011)? I thought that you might treat us to a newer video of her, especially with this past January snow fall that we have had.

  • thats a beauty

  • Nice machine. Great engineering. The historic house next store to where he is snowblowing reminds me of one back in Fond du Lac Wisconsin. Like this tractor, they don't make them like that anymore.

  • Everyone needs to check out the web site he suggested. You will see many really nice Simplicity - Allis Charmers - and a few rare Homelites that were either made by Allis or Simplicity it's a first class site.

  • How much would something like this cost me without chains or weights or snowblower?

  • If anyone is in need of new Tractor Manuals, yu can download them here for free ++ tractorrepairmanual (dot) net ++

  • Why don't you do a nice walk around video of her? I bet a lot of guys would like to see her in detail. I would!

  • ive got the 12 and a half twin cylinder briggs on my snapper that thing eats up the snow as well

  • nice tractor! I love how the cast iron motors love to lug down in that deeper heavier snow, they just eat it up. My dad just got the same snow thrower, 42", and we're trying to get it working. It should blow REALLY far with the power of the 16 hp Briggs single on my dad's 7116.

  • nice tractor. i have a 1971 jd 112. the old machines are the best ever built, take care of it. what engine is it equipped with. i have a kohler k241 on my machine, its over 38 years old and has never been overhauled, at least not yet. you must have a briggs or kohler? the old machines will earn their keep if you maintain them, regardless of the brand. simplicity, john deere, IH cub cadet, case, toro wheelhorse. i could probably name even more but they were and are still excellent.

  • It has a cast-iron 12HP Briggs & Stratton -- the competitor to your Kohler.

  • Nice to see the antiques earning they're keep.

  • very nice tracotor! but whats that peice of fabric gonna protect your dad from? he must already be tough for owning a simplicity!

  • It's not intended to be a ROPS -- just protection from wind and wind-blown snow. It works well for that, then comes off in the summer...

  • yws i know thats like the only cab you can buy these days thats why i would prefer a homade one

  • how bloody deap does snow get..gee's.

  • i've been having a problem with my allis chalmers flipping the belt, any suggestions?

  • 1. Do you have the belt stops installed and correctly adjusted to hold the belt close to the front engine pulley when you disengage the clutch?

    2. Are all the pulleys on the snowblower drive properly aligned? The belt should run at a 90-degree angle off the front engine pulley if everything is adjusted correctly.

    3. Are you using a genuine Simplicity belt? It has more reinforcing cords than the aftermarket ones (Gates, etc.) and is not as prone to flipping over on its backside.

  • Excellent video! What a nice machine!

  • Thanks! I'm certainly pleased with it. I'd have to spend a lot of money to replace it with something new, and as capable. Even then, I'd have to wonder how long it would last in comparison to these classics. Simple, proven, reliable...

  • Does it get cold inside the canopy because you're not walking and you're sitting there and not getting the blood pumping? I'm curious.

  • No, not really, even though there's no heat. The engine radiates some heat up into the cab as it's running full throttle. It's pretty comfortable, though noisy. Your feet get a bit chilly down low, but you can open your jacket if the wind isn't blowing hard, and still be comfortable.

  • Where are you located? I'm in Connecticut.

  • In the Brookfields, west of Worcester MA.

  • Is the right rear light out on the machine?

  • Yes, it is... I hadn't noticed.

  • very awesome tractor. my dads neighbor had a 16 hp simplicity back in the late sixties. we own an old cast iron cub cadet 127 about the size of yours. it also has a 1 stage snowblower and still runs great. just type in "cub cadet snowblower" if u want to see it.

  • love everything about this vid!

  • omg i love it..

  • NICE! A Monster compared to my Little Machine! My Sno-Away is also a 1969. I've been waiting for snow for like 18 months to get a good video of my machine in action. :(

  • Kent, thanks for the video! You can see more using under my videos (Cowboy700) or go to ACSimplicityCollectors site where I index them.

You're really doing a great thing for the hobby sharing this!

  • great tractor. They dont make em like that anymore,

Keeper that one is. I have a couple of gravely's that are irreplaceable.

  • I don't think so either. The tractor without attachments weighs somewhere around 700 lbs -- steel and cast-iron, instead of plastic and aluminum.

  • awesome tractor dude, reminds me of my old cast iron cub cadet with a snowblower. they just dont make them like they used to.

  • great video
