  • The rating of PG13 did not exist when this film was released.

  • @GregasaurausRex Actually the rating system was introduced in 1968 after the Hays code failed.

  • "...I hired you people to try and get a little track laid, not to jump around like a bunch of Kansas City faggots !"

  • Funny that this was rated PG-13 XD

  • "What in the wide wide world of sports is going on here!..I hired you people to try to get a little track laid, not to jump around like a bunch of Kansas City faggots!"

  • if this movie came out today, could you imagine the outcry?!?!?! can't make stuff like this anymore....too bad!!!!

  • @cadetsteven

Yeah, there is no way in hell you can make a movie like Blazzing Saddles in today's era. Dock that chink a day's pay for napping on the job. Send over a couple of niggers.

  • Obama gave an award to Mel Brooks and mentioned watching Blazing Saddles so its cool guys, it's cool =) lol

  • You have no idea how much I hoped Obama would say "'Scuse me while I whip this out" at his inauguration.

  • I wanna get kicks from cocaine.

  • kansas city fagots:) nice 1

  • I was disappointed they didn't let them finish I get a kick out of you too, sounded wonderful.

  • @Badthoughts90 Cleavon Little had a background in Broadway musicals. And actually "cocaine" was the oprginial Cole Porter lyric. It was cleaned up for radio play in the 30's.

  • All kidding aside, this was a wonderful "doo-wop" version of a great Cole Porter song...a shame they didn't finish it....would have loved to hear the whole arrangement. (And Cleavon Little sounds remarkably like the late, great Nat King Cole...)

  • I saw Burton Gilliam (the cowboy guy) at a golf tournament once. When they were dispensing the awards, an asian man got first place and he yells, "Aww man, a chink!!!"

Not kidding. Everyone laughed including the asian guy.

  • Only 66 likes looks like some people need beat and 2 need shot.

  • "To tell a family secret, my grandmother was Dutch" -- Best Quote Ever

  • My dad once worked on a railroad. He laughed this scene because if you look, they're hitting the already-finished rails with pickaxes, not sledge hammers.

  • seriously my favorite movie ever as you can see from my name :D

  • wild, wide, world?

Nice catch phrase for world wide web :3

  • This video will hurt Rick Perry's chance in the Presidential election...I didn't realize he was the racist foreman

  • hey its hollis wood! what you gone break up ma radier for!

  • Thumbs up for the guy on the right hand side getting groovy with it.

  • 2 people DID get a kick from cocaine! ;)

  • Still as good today as it was back then, sheer cinematic glory.

  • We can't afford to lose horses u dummy, send over a couple of niggers

  • This scene is pretty funny :D

  • @lildevilgirl20 indeed good sir

  • dock that chink a days pay for napping on the job... hahahahha

  • Lmao, I can't stop listening to the slave song!!

  • Deeksin: His name is Burton Gilliam

  • Before comedies began drowning in foul language,pop-culture reference and generally bad writing.

  • @snarkus63 this movie has tons of foul language and pop culture reference wtf?

  • @Billabongmon Point taken---shorten it to "generally bad writing".

  • @Billabongmon True, but it also has PLOT and good acting. Neither of which occurs in modern comedies.

  • @Billabongmon actually this isnt just a comedy, it was highly researched and strategically put together by Mel Brooks and most of the language was common of westerns made during this time....like all westerns, cowboys were fould mouths....and the pop culture references in this movie help set it apart from other movies of the day, and was much of style Mel Brooks in most of his films, true of his signature movie making style...that is all (=

  • i wasted 45 seconds of my life reading your retarted comment and then writing this

  • Who plays the cowboy? Has to be best actor in the film

  • "I knew your grandma was Dutch!"

  • Back when I was in college, there were these two white guys I was really good friends with. One day we decided to help them clean up their (filthy) dorm, and they didn't really want to. When they did eventually start cleaning, they started working all slow and exaggerated and starting singing "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot". To this day. . .I wish I had a camera so I could've filmed the whole thing, it was TOO funny, I had to stop cleaning so I could catch my breath X-D

  • I love the part were he pops out and says "Hey where all the whit women at?" awesome movie

  • Good song. Excellent movie. They weren't slaves though. As he said they used to sing like birds when they were slaves.

  • @dropygirl08 It wasn't too far afterwards and they might as well've been slaves. If I said "how 'bout a good 'ol nigger work song?" to a black kid at my school I'd get slapped sideways.
