SOS! someone please responde! I'm stuck in the floor right before this and I don't know how to get past it. The kid says I need to beat the soiliers to the house but when I get there its empty or the gaurds take the kid away. What should I do?

@companioncube40 Technically you don't need to complete that task to progress through the level and reach the bonus boss, just find the exit and input a new term. If you *want* to do the task and get the Light of Hope, I suggest you google a walkthrough, because the solution is... complicated. Might take a few tries, make sure to do this level at the beginning of a dungeon since you can't save inside the labyrinth.

Hey, I don't know if anyone can answer this but I went into Deumion trying to get Ragnarok for Firion. I had only used terms that were good, auspicious, superb etc. to get through the labyrinth.

I asked "hope" , Firion's superb term, and then Deumion just asked for proof, and the only way to get ANYTHING was to give him the light of hope and receive Revive.

I asked "hope" again before and after giving the light of hope

Firion was in my party and alive.

Considering Final Fantasy 3 and 4 on the DS are in 3D, I think they look horrible... It's wierd they put a 2D FF game on the PSP, but released a 3D FF game on the DS... Poor logic, in my opinion - the PSP is much better regarding graphics.

Matrix Software DID a great work on the Nintendo DS- they are great. But remember, graphics are NOTHING if they don't complement story and gameplay. NDS demostrated it.

The graphics on the NDS are mediocre at best - the characters look childish, along with the rest of the game. I would have preferred a 2D version of both FF 3 and 4 with similar graphical enhancements like those done to 1 and 2 on the psp.

NDS graphical capabilities are horrendous, they're slightly better than those of the N64.

@richardconter After releasing the seal from all three dungeons, go to the Arcane Sanctuary, which is located in the mountains north of Poft.

I just beat these two, boy great sub plot but way to easy a super boss. I was casting Ultima on myself 10 turns straight without cures out of boredom, then finished him.

He chose the power to destroy instead of the Power to heal! Then he murdered the guardian of the Alter so he could claim his unlimited power. Not to mention FF II's characters are no doubt the most bloodthirsty party of the series. They REALLY REALLY wanted to kill the emperor, even when he asked them for forgiveness.

I have the GBA version and it's even apparent in that. BTW, does this new "Arcane Sanctuary" allow you to swap in old party members or something? Cause Gordon gets his weapon here

Both of those things occurred in bonus dungeons. It's also worth mentioning the the "Light" Emperor didn't just want the party to say "I forgive you", he wanted them to accept him as God. Even if he doesn't explicitly say it, the deal is that if they "forgive him", they get to live forever under his rule as Lord of Heaven. Getting split into light and dark didn't help his megalomaniacal tendencies at all, it just gave him a more preachy style of speaking.

I'd say FFIV is another good canidate, if you look at the after Kain's darkside wants to kill Cecil, and force himself upon Rosa. Also in X-2 Yuna shoots half of Spira to GET Tidus.

but in FF IV, any offset of "evilness" in the main party was caused by "brain washing" by Zemus. Even Golbez, the supposed ANTAGONIST in the game, was really a good guy made to do evil. No, IV was more about emotional inner battles with one's inner sins, and your comment about Yuna was funny, but in all honesty she only shot up some fiends, the rest was all just helping people. In II, tons of Main characters actually DIE, there's war everywhere, children are killed, and sympathy is non-existent.

Yeah, of course my theory that the heroes of II are cold-hearted, may just be the product of bad character development, as II was technically the first of the series to add characters, and it's limited memory space, probably ended up editing all sorts of stuff, like compassion. But this is a remake of a remake for god sake, so the fact that Firion and crew would just kill some poor woman over the power to destroy is ludicrous! Firion is supposed to be adorably shy of women, right?!

I was actually rather disappointed the IV's "plot", I mean the 'villians' of game were merely being "controlled" by another bad guy(Golbez by Zemus who was controlled by Zeromus) It's a fun game, but I think the villian's stories could have been better... like them being evil on their own will or something.

II was creative with the idea of the Emperor "splitting" into 2 halves; and the main characters fighting one half while the deceased ones fight his Light half, whom wasn't so "good" afterall

two things wrong with what you said there: firstly, The Emperor in Final Fantasy II did not originally possess that "deep" storyline of splitting into two halves. In the original, there was no "emperor of Light" and it was just understood that all the PC's that died... died. Either or, The emperor is a fairly two dimensional villain if anything. There's barely any background story or reason to why he's evil, even outside the game only his name is revealed (Mateus).

Secondly Zemus and Zeromus are the same entity. Zemus was a lunarian who held some kind of racial grudge against humans, and it was when hatred (a human emotion) grew inside him that then gave birth to zeromus. Golbez, Kain, all those character's minds could not have been taken over without their inherent anger. It was quite subtle and philosophical, depending on how you interpret it. II was a rather simplistic template based off of star wars, which would then repeat itself in ff titles to come.

If you choose another word, you will fight Phrekyos and might get a weapon (differs on what word you use). The orb inside does not change.
