After watching these fights i think that Floyd has more of a chance than people may think. Pacq loves moving forward and is quick and accurate with good head movement and is prob the bravest fighter out there in terms of his aggression but he does leave himself open and against Floyd’s defence and his power it may be more of a problem than people think
You're right. Actually I think it'd be an EASY fight for Floyd. Floyd just needs to jab to his body (which was exposed as weak in the Margarito fight), hit Pac with his pet punch (the leaping left hook cause Pac's a lefty), and stay in the pocket, to avoid being on the end of Pac's punches. Unless Pac knocks him out, which I doubt cause Floyd's defense is too good, it'll be a unanimous decision, or a KO for Floyd. Nuff said.
Another thing I noticed in this fight. Remember how Holyfield neutralized Tyson by making him back up. Floyd should do the same to Pac since Pac's not a counterpuncher.

watch what EM is doing. every time MP sets to launch a combo EM takes a step to the left placing his lead foot outside MPs lead foot and pivots. This creates an angle that neutralizes MPs straight left step as it forces MP to hit the reset button. You neutralize MPs offense by timing his combos and turning him to the right. also notice how MP can't fight moving backward. when MP is done throwing you return fire and push him back. that's how you beat MP. this is what mayweather will do.

He's superstitious though and believes if he gets blood test before the fight he'll lose like he did with Morales the first time. but he agrees to do it after the fight. If he indeed takes drugs it'll show up on the test and his reputation would go down the drain. I think there's no problem in doing the test right after the test. A lot of fight fans keep forgetting that Marquez made the cardinal sin you shouldn't do in close fights especially against the Pacman 3x: never leave a close decision fight in the hands of the judges hired by the NSAC at ringside. You may never know what those three are going to do.

watch what EM is doing. every time MP sets to launch a combo EM takes a step to the left placing his lead foot outside MPs lead foot and pivots. This creates an angle that neutralizes MPs straight left step as it forces MP to hit the reset button. You neutralize MPs offense by timing his combos and turning him to the right. also notice how MP can't fight moving backward. when MP is done throwing you return fire and push him back. that's how you beat MP. this is what mayweather will do.

@JuanMiguel204 good analysis, but one thing that makes it work so well is that MP doesn't finish his combinations with a right hook. when you finish a combination with your power hand, you're exposed. MP has fixed this fluffy edge of his game in the ensuing years. however, it will be a different fight against Mayweather because Floyd has better handspeed than Morales and can lead if he wants to. I'd look to the Judah fight and say if MP can land left hands early, he could win

He proved in his next two fights with Morales that he's almost impossible to beat when he uses both of his hands. As for trying to time his combos, you're gonna have two maybe three punches to do so.

It's also absurd not to bring up Clottey, Margarito, or Mosley, both are former champions and formidable fighters, even now. So those victories should clearly count for something.

@realliferocky The tests taken by the boxing commission are irreverent because they are not as extensive and don't detect as many substances as Olympic style blood testing. This is why Mayweather wants this particular testing style up to the fight.

@realliferocky it would be wrong to accuse anyone to be taking drugs without evidence. But boxing in general has very weak drug tests that can easily be beaten.
Point 1; Urine tests cannot pick up everything, and thats the tests they use in boxing (blood tests should be used)
Point 2; You know when the drug test is going to occur so you can beat it.

@realliferocky Shane did roids for 7 years and passed every test also. You have to remember boxing test does not involve blood. Look at the last Marquez fight Pacquiao weighed 147 in that fight and he weighs 147 now it looks completely different. Is he on roids only he knows but he is the only boxer in history to get faster and stronger as he gets older

@omgiluvtiffany pacquiao did agree to the testing but not all the way to the fight date he wanted a cut off date and then we heard that he agreed to be tested to the final day which was bullshit coming from bob arum pacquiao and his camp totally denied that they agreed to be tested to the fight day.this fight was set but pacquiao is the one acting like a pussy if he took the test it would have happened.

@4rican pacquiao is bigger than 147 he fight at 147 he weight about 155 160 on a normal. When he fought Oscar he fought him at a catch weight of 144 and came in the ring heavier then Oscar. he's not a little guy no more and some how put on all his weight with no fat all muscle.

He's now probably at the peak of his career, and very hard to dispute - unbeatable with the current trash he has to fight. Morales was probably second. Pacquiao could throw his best combo in 80% wouldn't land followed by a straight right, weave and another straight to the face just to finish his flurry off. PBF all day

@Ladale2008 I concur--if you watch carefully Morales blocks most of Pacs punches. Pac is a good boxer- but Floyd is is the most technically sound boxer I've seen since Pernell WHitaker. Floyd would counter Pac all night. And every boxer knows a good jab destroys speed.

I don't think he is on steroids. He's superstitious though and believes if he gets blood test before the fight he'll lose like he did with Morales the first time. but he agrees to do it after the fight. If he indeed takes drugs it'll show up on the test and his reputation would go down the drain. I think there's no problem in doing the test right after the test. Mayweather knows pacquiao is superstitious, and he uses this to justify his true reason, that he's scared of losing against Pacquiao
