I bought it new back in December 1983 and then recorded the Gator Bowl with rabbit ears - no cable back then. I still have it; one of these days I need to replace its sensor lamp to see if it can still play tapes.
I was at that game, the coldest I have ever been in my life. 2 rows from the top of the north end zone with a STRONG NE Wind coming off the river. The Iowa fans behind us couldn't take it any more and left at halftime.
Thanks for posting this. As a Hawk fan, brings back some memories. I know we lost to a good team that had Wilber Marshall. Forgot Al Michaels and Frank Broyles did the game.
