This man was one of the best Islamic Scholars, he knows exactly what he is saying. He is referring to a (sahih) Hadith from our Prophet (PBUH). It is either a hadith or a hadith Qudsi.

What this man have said is completely true.

@scorpionsSon : I do not want to refute your grand father or whoever taught you something about Islam but this scholar is one the most amazing people ever lived in our era. This guy gave much to Muslim community than anyone else did in his time. He was blind but he could see with his heart. He said that God blessed him when he was blinded bcoz it will prevent him from seeign evil. These are not stories but revelations so do not start comparing it to stories.
