If this was a command for Christians to kill then we would see evidence of this in the lives of the apostles and new Christians in the book of Acts. But we don't. We see in Acts 7:54-60 Stephen being stoned to death by non-believers and crying out on their behalf "Lord, don't charge them with this sin". But we don't see Christians killing non-believers. :)

Jesus is telling the parable about being a good steward. The story is about a king who trusts his servants with money, then returns to see what they have done with the money.
The first two servants invested the money wisely and got a return. The king was pleased at that and rewarded them with more responsibility. But the third servant put the money away and didn't get any return on it. He thought the king was trying to rip him off, and didn't want the king to have any profit from his work.

What Jesus is saying is what's known as a PARABLE, it is an earthly story with some sort of heavenly meaning. Jesus told parables so he could relate to his audience. If he told them the meaning of his message ver batim, they would not have understood. Jesus did not LITERALLY say "Bring these people here so I can kill them." And don't get me started on the contradictions that ARE in the Kuran.

No, what I'm saying is Jesus only spoke the words as a story, meaning the GUY IN THE STORY is the one that LITERALLY said the words. If you read the preceding verses it says its a parable about a landkeeper who gave money to his servants. The LANDKEEPER is the one that said "Bring him here so I can kill him," NOT Jesus.

If this was a command for Christians to kill then we would see evidence of this in the lives of the apostles and new Christians in the book of Acts. But we don't. We see in Acts 7:54-60 Stephen being stoned to death by non-believers and crying out on their behalf "Lord, don't charge them with this sin". But we don't see Christians killing non-believers. :)

The speaker is telling the truth. He was using the man in the parable and what the protagonist in the parable was saying. Jesus was not telling those listening to go out and kill. Unfortunately, non-Christians choose to pick out a single verse in a parable and shout, Aha! Do you know what Christians can do with the Quran? Jesus is telling the parable about being a good steward. The story is about a king who trusts his servants with money, then returns to see what they have done with the money.
The first two servants invested the money wisely and got a return. The king was pleased at that and rewarded them with more responsibility. But the third servant put the money away and didn't get any return on it. He thought the king was trying to rip him off, and didn't want the king to have any profit from his work.

Ignorant fool! This is a "Parable" of the King's 10 servants, which Jesus Christ was referring to. Read entire context of that Parable. Luke 19:27 is speaking of Jews, NOT Christians. The Jews were expecting their Messiah, but they did not like what Christ preached and rejected Him as their King (hence, they became Christ's enemies). All True Christians believe that Christ is their King from the First Apostles to this very day. Now whose argument is destroyed, yours of course.

Way to take it out of context, like most other people who apparently find "contradictions" in the Bible. What Jesus is saying is what's known as a PARABLE, it is an earthly story with some sort of heavenly meaning. Jesus told parables so he could relate to his audience. If he told them the meaning of his message ver batim, they would not have understood. Jesus did not LITERALLY say "Bring these people here so I can kill them." And don't get me started on the contradictions that ARE in the Kuran.

No, what I'm saying is Jesus only spoke the words as a story, meaning the GUY IN THE STORY is the one that LITERALLY said the words. If you read the preceding verses it says its a parable about a landkeeper who gave money to his servants. The LANDKEEPER is the one that said "Bring him here so I can kill him," NOT Jesus.
The reason it is taken out of context is because skeptics like you and the guy that made this video ONLY account for that one verse, and not the verses before or after.

Oh and if you're gonna quote a verse, make sure it's the right one. Luke 10:27 says: He answered: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'[a]; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself."
Mark 3:29 is another matter entirely and I won't be able to explain it in a youtube comment unfortunately.

Jesus offers no salvation when what he essentially says is "Worship me or I will have you killed." Don't worship that.
There's an external reaffirmation of this understanding of the parable which is difficult to reject. The book is called "Hear Then the Parable," by Bernard Brandon Scott ("Darbeth Distinguished Professor of New Testament at the Phillips Theological Seminary, University of Tulsa, Oklahoma").

The death that He offers is that of the wolrd(sin) I would realy like to read that book I shall get it. But remember scolastic interpetation is what the catholics did and they realy botched it up. I find that the historic church encompases the tradition with the fullness of the truth. I went to a monastary in Arizona called St. Anthonys they seem to live the gospel there, kinda cool.
