@TheBadkid1001 guys can wear them too, in fact we used to have a few male guitar players that had them done on their 'strumming' hand. Just kept them shorter and used a clear acrylic so they looked natural.
@lucialin0728 You can do in-fills if you want (the process is exactly the same as a normal in-fill) but with bitten nails because they grow so quick it's actually better (and easier) to soak them off, re-prep and apply a fresh new set. Its quicker (because you can pre-do the acrylic tips while the client is soaking off old set) and the look better and stay on longer as you have the advantage of the Inverted Mould still being in place protecting the acrylic, The mould is buffed away if you fill
i really wish i could stop biting my nails do all nail technichians offer this or will i have to search to find someone who will help me with my discusting nails?
@babymama160 It's a hard habit to break for some people :-( but at least we have a product that can help them :-) Luckily IM's helped her grow her nails back out to a normal length (wish I got a picture) but sadly she left her nails off just a little too long and then munched them all back down again. But hey she keeps coming back for her nails so can't be bad!
You are lucky if you have never had nails like these, I am nearly 60 and most of my life mine have been the same or similar and I am sick of trying to hide my hands all the time - I then found GEL nails, although your nails grow under neither that are not strong. What I would like to know is can these moulds help with making your own nails strong?? I have managed to bit off GEL nails! Where can you get them done?
EW!!! i kinda feel sorry, but not really. i mean, shes like an adult. and adults shuld have some kind of power over themselves. if she had a bit more common sense, she wouldnt be biting her nails. and the only reason she does bite her nails is tht she dont do anything to solve her life mistakes or problems. boo hoo.
@ButterCupBuzz in fact it doesnt.. I do bit them practically the same, and never hurts.. nor did I bleed either. But I believe that when you bite them all your life, they get like this. (if you were to bit normal nails to this in a day, your could probably just chop your fingers!
Im a guy, thinking of getting acrylics, cause in just a couple of weeks or 3, you can take them off, and had grown your own nails uderneath. Once they are nice, you just dont bite them! ;)
@Beni79 Very True! You should try and get some acrylics done, but most nail techs hate nail biters, especially if they are using tips, makes it more difficult for them to stay on for long. But if you find one who can sculpt you a very short free edge, just enough to stop the nibbling and you can keep them on then like you said you can get your nails to grow out :-) Good luck!
@TheSamsammysam Actually it will help her and her nails. Remember it's not acrylic that damages the natural nail. Blending in tips or over filing is the most common and because you don't do either of these when using IM's it's impossible to damage the nail. The IM helps to keep the acrylic on for longer, protecting the nail underneath so it has chance to grow out. If the client keeps her extensions on for long enough she can have her nails back to normal within a few weeks! HTH's
can you do the inverted mold with any full nail or is there only certain products you can use...this really interests me being a cosmetologist but mostly focusing on nails
@jdreher13 Hi, you can do almost anything with them :-) They are designed to cover the entire nail plate and extend it past the free edge. And it doesn't matter where the free edge is. On bitten nails they are really short but as you see from the video we get past easily. For normal nails it's even easier, you just sculpt the smile in the place you want it and bond them to the plate. You can use pretty much any acrylic product / brand (no UV Gel) with IM's, but we recommend fast set :-)
my nails are very badly bitten much like the ladies in this video if not worse just ordered some IM's and cant wait to try them on my nails. i am training to be a nail technician so i would love to incorporate this treatment into my services.this video was truly inspirational
@omgitsaubre1 No, same price, there is no real extra work to do on bitten nails when using IM's as all the acrylic work is done in the mould and not on the natural nail. We only do a little more prep on what's left of the natural nail that's it. And we only give a 1 week guarantee instead of our normal 2 week on our free repair service.
I bite my nails and I have worn false ones. It looked nice but then they never grow. I have a habit of when the nails goes white. I tear it or bite it off. Can you suggest some ways for me to stop biting?
@RainbowCaramels Hi not really sorry :-( what Inverted Moulds can do is give the nail tech the tools to help protect your nail as it grows, but they can't stop you from biting and tearing at them. The underlying reason behind biting nails is still unknown, but stress could be a key factor. It might be useful to look at what triggers you to bite and see if there is something you can do to limit yourself to these triggers. Sadly a determined nail biter will get through anything...even IM's lol

@RainbowCaramels GET A LITTLE BALL AND TAKE IT WITH YOU WHEREVER YOU GO AND SQUISH IT EVERY TIME YOU FEEL ANXIOUS HAVING A KEY CHAIN BALL AND PUTTING IT IN A BRACELET ALSO HELPS BECAUSE THAT WAY YOU FEEL THAT IT'S THERE AND THIS HELPS YOU REMIND YOURSELF THAT YOU SHOULDN'T BE BITTING YOUR NAILS :) TRY IT FOR A MONTH AND YOUR BAD HABIT HAS A VERY GOOD CHANCE TO GO AWAY
@dollylollyful as long as the matrix is not damaged then 9 times out of 10 the nail grows back to normal and you would never know. Of course it really does depend on the individual to stop nibbling them.
@dollylollyful I used to bite my nails, but I managed to stop. People ask if my nails are real, and when I tell them yes, they don't believe I used to bite them. You just have to make sure to take care of them
So which nail broke off? My guess is the index on the right hand or one of the thumbs. When I get my nails done, it's usually the right index or thumb that takes the most abuse and comes off first.
@InvertedNailSystems Haha, I was way off. :P These nails look so beautiful, I'll bet she walked out feeling like a superstar! It must feel good to add confidence to people in an hour. :D
@Xxd3cayxX hi, as long as the keep the extensions on then yes they can grow them out back to normal. Biters nails grow very quickly so its important that they have a weekly maintenance regime to ensure the extensions stay on. HTH's
she doesnt eat anything else?Your job is so good, iam a pro too and i propably wouldnt accept to do anything to those nails, maybe i will told her to go to a dermatologist first and then maybe to a shrink, coz that much nail eatting is not normal at all, lucky she has her fingers, infections are easy with such a problem.
@Damoskinos yes. And if the client continues to wear nail extensions created using Inverted Moulds, then it each time it becomes easier to apply them (because there is more natural nail to bond to) until it gets to the point where they have full nails again. Hopefully this they will stop biting but if not then you can always switch to overlays or continue using IM's.
whats nice about the inverted nails are if someone bites there nails the nail bed always looks short when u use a nail tip but you can actually use a nails type that is false the use inverted moulds and fake out the nail bed where it looks longer they actually look great when u do this

how doesnt fungus drown under these with those short nail beds? i didnt think acrylic stuck to the skin, so how are they staying on with just that little bit of nail she has?
Hi, no you make sure the acrylic does not come into contact with skin. There are 3 reasons why they stay on better: 1) The unique shape of the Inverted Mould, as it creates a stronger overall structure at the cuticle area 2) The IM stays on giving the whole nail added strength and durability. 3) The act of compression during the application process creates a mush stronger bond between the acrylic to the nail plate
Also, we give the client enhanced aftercare, we show them how to look after them and give them a small sanitiser, which they must use regularly to ensure fungus does not appear, prevention is the best cure! Yes there is more after care with bitten nails, but this is only while the nails are growing out, each week it gets easier and with each day of growth the chance of a fungus developing is slowly eliminated.
If you don't want to use acrylics to protect the nail as it grows out and if you have thin bendy nails then a hardener may help. For thicker ridged / hard nails then then using a soft buff, buff cuticle oil into the nail.
Obviously not biting is the real answer, that's why wearing nail extensions give your natural nail protection from nibbling. Most nail systems struggle with getting the extension 'on' the nail. So that's why we have such good results with Inverted Moulds. HTH's
woahhh omg bitin em down to such a lvl musta been such a huge pain! O.O i was bitin my nails for years but i never got em down so far cuz it would just hurt too much. really hope the nails help that person to get to normal nails.
Hi, yeah the grew out quite nice, but the lady is not a regular client so I believe she's bitten them down again. We will try and get new pictures and post them on FaceBook and then post the link in the description. So watch this space :-)
omg i have neva seen n e body nails bitten off dat bad, but ya'll skilled. i do my own nails but ya'll professional wit it. i hope i can b dat gud one day
a word of warning, you should let the nails grow to a normal length before even attempting to put on acrylic nails, the maker of this video should know that, or one could suffer serious illnesses, you don't want that. Fungus could grow, the list is endless. Beware and use common sense people.
Of course you can apply to nails this short. True about the warnings and we do, but clients with bitten nails have a problem with growing them out. So it's important that you take the correct precautions and advise and educate the client for the need of extra hygiene during the initial growth stage until the tunnel has grown out. For most nail biters this about 2-3 weeks as their nails grow very quickly.
PS in 25yrs of doing nails I've never had a problem, prevention and education is why.
Everyone is different when it comes to the reason behind biting, for some it's stress related for others its a physical habit. Look for a trigger, the reason why you started biting at that particular time and then you can try and work on a solution. HTH's
@InvertedNailSystems as a nail biter I'd like to say that yes, it's a physical habit. I don't even know I'm doing it. So getting these done would work by reminding you what you're doing - making you conscious of it. Joarvellan is probably nasty without thinking - it's probably just a habit and they don't know how to be nice - it's the same thing...
Hi, no we don't, we do have a step by step guide on our training website, but if you can already do fills then the process is exactly the same. The finished IM nail is still a full acrylic sculptured nail extension. They grow out the same and need filling in the same way. There maybe a little more blending of the edge, but the IM is very thin and this is not a problem :-) HTH's
they only stayed on for 15days??? How in the world did one come off after a week? If i have my nails done professionally, (and i bite mine almost as bad) they CANT come off... they have to grow out
Hi, thanks for your comment. Doing nails this short is a challenge. If your nails grow out then you must have one hell of a good nail tech :-) It's also worth mentioning that EMA acrylics have a designed limitation of strength, meaning that if a client has an accident (car door handle in this case) the acrylic should break leaving the natural nail intact. Also, nail growth rates are different, this client needed an infill after 2 weeks so apart from the accident, they did all grow out :-)
Hi, yes we do have another video on our YT channel showing more step by steps of bitten nails using Inverted Moulds. It should appear on the list on the right. The video is called Bitten Nails and lasts for 2:50 :-)
thx for the reply, i'll check it soon... another question... so as i see it right you don't need to remove the moulds, right? you just cut them down and buff them?
That's right, the Inverted Mould stays on and becomes the surface of the finished nail (that's why it's so glossy and smooth, it's not polish or a gel topcoat, it's the mould!). And yes you just clip off the excess IM and then file to shape, there is no buffing done on the top of the nail as the IM does all that work for you. :-)
Uh hi, is there a way to just like grow your nails really fast without the extentions.. I would like to grow mine without that... Any product i would use?
Remember you're putting acrylic 'into' the IM and not directly onto the natural nail. So you only apply the right amount of pink to the IM when you are ready to put the nail on limiting the chance of any direct contact to the clients skin. HTH's
OMG! my cousin like last year kept biting her nails soooooo much that it got so infected that she had to go to the hospital so they could help it....so i don't know how that girls nails has not got infected! DO NOT,WHEN I MEAN DO NOT I MEAN DO NOT BITE UR NAILS! i asked my cousin did it hert sooooooooososososososo much and she said" IT WAS THE WORST THING I THINK I EVER FELT!"
Hi! I am a severe biter like that. I have used tips on and off but they lift within days so I bite them off. I can't afford to always go back for repairs. Anyway, I have that gap like the video where the nail has not grown back in and it is dry. Does the acrylic adhere to that like the glue would from tips? I guess I need more detailed explanation how it works. I just don't want to try something and have it not work because I am desperate to stop biting.
Hi, the acrylic will just stick to the small part of the nail. When using IM's part of the application process on difficult nails like these is the 'Compression' of the acrylic to the nail plate. You can only achieve this by using Inverted application methods. That's why tips don't work. You can get amazing results using IM's but really they need to be used by a nail tech who has experience of using them. HTH's
LOL... I don't bite mine, just sometimes the little "skin" around the cutical or whatever that is, I don't know how you call it in english... xDDDD anyway, I kinda feel sorry for her :'( :P
lol nope that's the real nail. The only thing we do to the pictures is to composite the background. We take the picture on a black background and then remove it using MS Paint.
oh my !! poor finger nails.. i used to be a bitter ... i have to grow my nails to avoid bitting them.. its annoying and when you get to the edge its really painful you cant bend your finger ....BTW i love the nails .... it came out beautiful.... save the nail bitters....
Hi, Yes you can do an in-fill. The finished nail extension is exactly the same as a FULL acrylic sculptured nail. So the process of doing a fill is the same also. HTH's
The IM is very thin. About as thin as a piece of paper, so when you clip back any lifted acrylic the IM comes with it and when you blend down the edge you're also blending away the IM along with the acrylic.
With some of the complex glitter designs you can do with IM's we would suggest a soak off removal and then apply a new set rather than doing a fill. But if the client has a standard P&W set then doing a fill is simple and straight forward :-)
My nails were almost as bad as that, and they did them for my wedding. They were simply fabulous... I cannot wait to get home to have them done again.
(Hello from Thailand by the way....when you coming to visit :-) )
Hello!! Great to hear from you! We'd love to come to Thailand just so busy doing nails lol things are mad here. Next time you come over just e-mail us like last time and we'll sort you out with an appointment. Oh and Vanessa says hi!
Yea, but how do I get my nails to look as short and bitten as hers so I can have them replaced, or don't I have to do that? Do I have to bite my nails down so far?
No you don't need to bite your nails at all to have extensions done like this. Inverted Moulds work on ANY nail shape or length. Of course you still have to have some nail plate for the acrylic to bond to. We just wanted to show that no matter how badly bitten your clients nails are there is a solution to their problem that not only looks great but also stays on longer giving the natural nail underneath chance to grow out. This clients 2nd set went on much easier and lasted even longer.
I am a guy and I have beaten up nails from falling off my bike then my fingers slid on the ground

uhhh nasty bitten nails... and you did a perfect job!

how doesnt fungus drown under these with those short nail beds? i didnt think acrylic stuck to the skin, so how are they staying on with just that little bit of nail she has?
kimmygirl1688 1 year ago
Hi, no you make sure the acrylic does not come into contact with skin. There are 3 reasons why they stay on better: 1) The unique shape of the Inverted Mould, as it creates a stronger overall structure at the cuticle area 2) The IM stays on giving the whole nail added strength and durability. 3) The act of compression during the application process creates a mush stronger bond between the acrylic to the nail plate
InvertedNailSystems 1 year ago
Also, we give the client enhanced aftercare, we show them how to look after them and give them a small sanitiser, which they must use regularly to ensure fungus does not appear, prevention is the best cure! Yes there is more after care with bitten nails, but this is only while the nails are growing out, each week it gets easier and with each day of growth the chance of a fungus developing is slowly eliminated.

How would you reccommend growing out bitten nails? Would applying nail hardeners help?
BleedingCapricorn13 1 year ago
If you don't want to use acrylics to protect the nail as it grows out and if you have thin bendy nails then a hardener may help. For thicker ridged / hard nails then then using a soft buff, buff cuticle oil into the nail.
Obviously not biting is the real answer, that's why wearing nail extensions give your natural nail protection from nibbling. Most nail systems struggle with getting the extension 'on' the nail. So that's why we have such good results with Inverted Moulds. HTH's

a word of warning, you should let the nails grow to a normal length before even attempting to put on acrylic nails, the maker of this video should know that, or one could suffer serious illnesses, you don't want that. Fungus could grow, the list is endless. Beware and use common sense people.
beachbum954 2 years ago
Of course you can apply to nails this short. True about the warnings and we do, but clients with bitten nails have a problem with growing them out. So it's important that you take the correct precautions and advise and educate the client for the need of extra hygiene during the initial growth stage until the tunnel has grown out. For most nail biters this about 2-3 weeks as their nails grow very quickly.
PS in 25yrs of doing nails I've never had a problem, prevention and education is why.

I bite my nails occasionally, but Ibit them off a few days ago. Any suggestions?
ThreeLittlePiggehz 2 years ago
Everyone is different when it comes to the reason behind biting, for some it's stress related for others its a physical habit. Look for a trigger, the reason why you started biting at that particular time and then you can try and work on a solution. HTH's
InvertedNailSystems 2 years ago
@InvertedNailSystems as a nail biter I'd like to say that yes, it's a physical habit. I don't even know I'm doing it. So getting these done would work by reminding you what you're doing - making you conscious of it. Joarvellan is probably nasty without thinking - it's probably just a habit and they don't know how to be nice - it's the same thing...

do u have a video explaining how you infill the inverted moulds after two weeks?
jtovar82 2 years ago
Hi, no we don't, we do have a step by step guide on our training website, but if you can already do fills then the process is exactly the same. The finished IM nail is still a full acrylic sculptured nail extension. They grow out the same and need filling in the same way. There maybe a little more blending of the edge, but the IM is very thin and this is not a problem :-) HTH's
InvertedNailSystems 2 years ago
they only stayed on for 15days??? How in the world did one come off after a week? If i have my nails done professionally, (and i bite mine almost as bad) they CANT come off... they have to grow out
Fatpantsnomore 2 years ago
Hi, thanks for your comment. Doing nails this short is a challenge. If your nails grow out then you must have one hell of a good nail tech :-) It's also worth mentioning that EMA acrylics have a designed limitation of strength, meaning that if a client has an accident (car door handle in this case) the acrylic should break leaving the natural nail intact. Also, nail growth rates are different, this client needed an infill after 2 weeks so apart from the accident, they did all grow out :-)

Omg I thought I bit my nails. But never mind. They look like they would hurt for DAYS with no stop bleeding.

notredamske 2 years ago
Hi, yes we do have another video on our YT channel showing more step by steps of bitten nails using Inverted Moulds. It should appear on the list on the right. The video is called Bitten Nails and lasts for 2:50 :-)
InvertedNailSystems 2 years ago
thx for the reply, i'll check it soon... another question... so as i see it right you don't need to remove the moulds, right? you just cut them down and buff them?
notredamske 2 years ago
That's right, the Inverted Mould stays on and becomes the surface of the finished nail (that's why it's so glossy and smooth, it's not polish or a gel topcoat, it's the mould!). And yes you just clip off the excess IM and then file to shape, there is no buffing done on the top of the nail as the IM does all that work for you. :-)
InvertedNailSystems 2 years ago
Uh hi, is there a way to just like grow your nails really fast without the extentions.. I would like to grow mine without that... Any product i would use?

abracefacetwoeyes 2 years ago
Great she'll probably get an allergic reaction to acrylics eventually because this is being applied straight onto skin, hm!
fergiebridge 2 years ago
Remember you're putting acrylic 'into' the IM and not directly onto the natural nail. So you only apply the right amount of pink to the IM when you are ready to put the nail on limiting the chance of any direct contact to the clients skin. HTH's

OMG! my cousin like last year kept biting her nails soooooo much that it got so infected that she had to go to the hospital so they could help it....so i don't know how that girls nails has not got infected! DO NOT,WHEN I MEAN DO NOT I MEAN DO NOT BITE UR NAILS! i asked my cousin did it hert sooooooooososososososo much and she said" IT WAS THE WORST THING I THINK I EVER FELT!"
angieee123456789 2 years ago
Junebug2179 2 years ago
Hi, the acrylic will just stick to the small part of the nail. When using IM's part of the application process on difficult nails like these is the 'Compression' of the acrylic to the nail plate. You can only achieve this by using Inverted application methods. That's why tips don't work. You can get amazing results using IM's but really they need to be used by a nail tech who has experience of using them. HTH's

So you don't do a fill in on these you just wear them until you need a fill in and remove them and start over?
twopaters 3 years ago
Hi, Yes you can do an in-fill. The finished nail extension is exactly the same as a FULL acrylic sculptured nail. So the process of doing a fill is the same also. HTH's
InvertedNailSystems 3 years ago
I don't get it....If the IM stays on then how do you do a in-fill like acrylic sculptured nails?
twopaters 3 years ago
The IM is very thin. About as thin as a piece of paper, so when you clip back any lifted acrylic the IM comes with it and when you blend down the edge you're also blending away the IM along with the acrylic.
With some of the complex glitter designs you can do with IM's we would suggest a soak off removal and then apply a new set rather than doing a fill. But if the client has a standard P&W set then doing a fill is simple and straight forward :-)

lazurm 3 years ago
Yea, but how do I get my nails to look as short and bitten as hers so I can have them replaced, or don't I have to do that? Do I have to bite my nails down so far?
lazurm 3 years ago
No you don't need to bite your nails at all to have extensions done like this. Inverted Moulds work on ANY nail shape or length. Of course you still have to have some nail plate for the acrylic to bond to. We just wanted to show that no matter how badly bitten your clients nails are there is a solution to their problem that not only looks great but also stays on longer giving the natural nail underneath chance to grow out. This clients 2nd set went on much easier and lasted even longer.
