I'm 6'3 and have the new 2009 Nightster wit forward controls and it rides great. don't believe the hype about taller guys not being able to ride the sportsters.

yea I am very comfortable on it and it feels more natural with the forward controls than without. but I may be a little bias since I rode sportbikes first...any Harley may be a real relaxing ride for me :)

I dont understand why everyone has to down another persons bike.  Let them do what they want and you can do what you want.

I've stripped my 07 nightster down to the bare minimum aside from the 16" narrow apes and springer seat, and am putting a Linby guard on for comfort because I'm 6'3" and the foarward controls just arent enough. I say its a slick bike and you're the only one who's opinion matter about your own bike. props

take my advice and the advice of all the others here: GET RID OF THE ENGINE GUARD! It looks queer on such a stream line bike like the sportster.
