He used to push back on the headstock of his broken 80s Flying V, I could see a metal plate propping it up, I assumed it was modified to do some tremolo at the HS end, but it seems he does it here and there on other guitars, and I have no idea how to get pronounced effect that way, I tried on mine without a broken neck (my BCR broke twice at the stock!)
