There were actually two different cars. Both cars were due to be restored and after ecto-1 was restored for some reason they decided not to restore Ecto-1A. It was last seen at Cinema Vehicle Services in pieces.

Saw the feature on the Blu-ray DVD, that was a lot of time and effort they put into restoring Ecto 1, and she looked absolutely amazing when the job was finished. It was like she just rolled off the production line, brand new.

Ghostbusters kicks ass! So does Ecto-1 Beautiful car! It was based on a 1959 Cadillac hearse that was based off the series 62 Eldorado. The only difference is that the wheelbase was stretched 2 feet to a total of 21 ft in length. It had a 325 hp 390 V8 and weighed apx 3 tons. It would awesome to cruise in that with lights and siren on!

There was 3 cars used for both movies that I know of. One is in Ohio I believe. The other is still sitting on the Universal backlot in the Ecto-1A conversion. There's one in Tenessee, but I think it's a replica.
Sure, take care of Ecto-1, but leave the DeLorean, Mr. T's van, and the General Lee to rot outside on the backlot! Stupid Universal Studios. If they can't take care of these cars, donate them to a local museum or something!
There were like 300 General Lee's. As for the BTTF DeLorean and A-Team van, I don't think they're in the same lot, and who knows, maybe they're getting a resto too.
the deloreans are ok as there made from stainless steel, ther were bout 4 of them and some fibreglass ones too, u can tell the difference in bttf2 as it lands in the future.

Ghostbusters kicks ass! So does Ecto-1 Beautiful car! It was based on a 1959 Cadillac hearse that was based off the series 62 Eldorado. The only difference is that the wheelbase was stretched 2 feet to a total of 21 ft in length. It had a 325 hp 390 V8 and weighed apx 3 tons. It would awesome to cruise in that with lights and siren on!

There was 3 cars used for both movies that I know of. One is in Ohio I believe. The other is still sitting on the Universal backlot in the Ecto-1A conversion. There's one in Tenessee, but I think it's a replica.

the deloreans are ok as there made from stainless steel, ther were bout 4 of them and some fibreglass ones too, u can tell the difference in bttf2 as it lands in the future.
