can you tell us what the advantage of the tail is? clearly they cannot reproduce without human intervention ,so what is the trade off??

These kind of sheep are found in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Yes fat is stored in their tail. In local language we call these "DUMBA" These are very cute pet animals

FYI: Some breeds of sheep store fat in their tails, like camels due in their humps. These are a variety of fat tailed sheep.

@cubguy27 I googled "awassi sheep" as Godoalb suggested, seems like having those tails is a normal characteristic.
