  • can you tell us what the advantage of the tail is? clearly they cannot reproduce without human intervention ,so what is the trade off??

  • These kind of sheep are found in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Yes fat is stored in their tail. In local language we call these "DUMBA" These are very cute pet animals

  • FYI: Some breeds of sheep store fat in their tails, like camels due in their humps. These are a variety of fat tailed sheep.

  • @cubguy27 I googled "awassi sheep" as Godoalb suggested, seems like having those tails is a normal characteristic.
