Great review. I like the Heman reference too. The pilots are actually from a cartoon they had about 10 years ago. So they were that color. :)

@a1nall Yes in this is Plastic version. The little cockpits would open and mini figures could go in..There was another made from die-cast metal that was a replica of the 84 matchbox version.

no Japan had a tradition of merging robots together to form Super robots. Voltron (or GoLion the Japanese show from which it was made) predates PR by about ten years.
