dont turn off ur windows firewall u just have to open a port which is 6112 on ur expections in the firewall.

most likely what happaned, was your ip got changed somhow, make sure that the ip that your putting on the site and the configuration is the right one, to check just go to run and type in "cmd"

your on a labtop? is it wireless internet, because if so...this method of hosting will not work, i really do hate wireless so im hard lined no matter what XD

I've never had a problem hosting with wireless.

Once you have a stable wireless connection, turn of Wireless Zero Configuration, Go Start>Run > 'services.msc'

Uhmm i entered my ip and the window and i have verzion fios so it sent me to a verzion page asking id and pass word. i tried admin for the id and password for the password and it didnt work.i tried to switch em around too but it also didnt work.can any1 please help me?

if u dont know the password or user name, you need to call ur internet service provider and ask them for it

Alright... I have a problem. I recently his the reset button on accident and it erased my IP adress. I reconfigured it and it is now 70.128.108.242 and when i type that in my adress bar it says the link is broken. I could host before but like I said... reset button... any idea how to fix this?

Your not typing your ip into the address bar, your typing your default gateway, go to start/run and put in cmd then ipconfig and try using ur default gateway

dude the problem is when i write there my default gateway (where we write links) the different options appears on my screen, they're not like yours.. i don't have that "LINKSYS" it is "HUAWEI" name and i can't find the same options there.. don't know what to do could you help please? thx!

If you cant get any of the variation passwords to work, try leaving both spaces blank, and if that doesnt work...you need to contact your service provider to get your username/password
