  • Somehow i like this one better than the original

  • Lugosi Béla: Rántsd a drótot! Rántsd a drótot!

  • A story must be told....

  • now call Boris Karloff a c*cksucker!

  • Lolololol

  • ...perfect...

  • and now imagine if he said that while sitting on a (old )Toilet

the Movie is my Number 2 on my list of Favorite Movies (Number 1 Is :Bowling For Columbine)

  • as Ed said:PERFECT!!

  • In the original movie, the "bewaaare" scene was shot at a different angle and completely different scene. Why did Burton combine the two into one part in "Ed Wood"?

  • Thumbs up if, every time you tie your shoelaces, you suddenly say, "Vait... Pool da schtrink!! POOL DA SCHTRINK!!"

  • VAIIT!

  • pull the sting'K!

  • WAIT! Pull the string! Pull the string!

  • You have to see Glenn or Glenda

  • "pwool de sding" LMAO LOVE IT!!!

  • 3 people had their strings pulled.

  • Bevare...Bevare!

  • take a look at the REAL bela lugosi take...landau's eyes are inexpressive and he talks with no suspense

  • The funniest moment of the movie!! LOL

  • @Wyattchicago LOL!

  • It's George Soros!!!!

  • Landau was freaking BRILLIANT in this!!!

  • beware, beware, beware of the big green dragon that sits on your doorstep. puppy dog tales big fat snails beware take care beware pull the string pull the string.

  • what?

  • classic

  • If I could just sample this line ("pull the string"), I'd rig it to my alarm clock

  • This just kills me

  • oh I remember the good ole days when Johnny doesn't need high doses of make up to have very energetic emotions

  • Was Bela really so surly behind the scenes?

  • @darkhyena He was pretty bitter. He was a talented actor, who, because of his heavy accent, couldn't escape the Dracula stereotype and been discarded by Hollywood. The only work he could get was an outsider like Wood who combined a lack of connections with a lack of talent.

Someone I worked with defined Ed Wood films as "commitment without talent"

  • Real good acting

  • Freakazoid did it better...

  • PULL THE STRINK! Amazing movie.

  • johnny depp sounds like a little girl when he says "cut"

  • every time hes says pull the string it makes me laugh

  • Pull the strink!!!

  • every time i wanna laugh i watch this scene and laugh to tears....PULL THE STRING is one of my all time favorites!

  • Bivér! Bivér!

  • this is one of the funniest moments in movie history. Martin Landau ftw

  • Ed Wood has a weird take on things. Th scene was actually kidna creepy in a bizarre sort of way, but then out of nowhere.... "WAIT!!!! PULL THE STRING!!!! PULL THE STRING!!!!!!"

  • nostalgia critic mixed this scene with mortal combat lol

  • Ed Wood FTW!

  • i heart this movie!!!Does anyone hv or knw if theres a scene on dolores knocking ed out on youtube?

  • Its in pt 6

  • luv this movie

  • LOL WUT?

  • It's funny becuase it's actually in a film.

  • LMAO

  • POUR THIS DRINK.

    POUR THIS DRINK.

  • LMAO! it doesn't make any sense. Just look at how bela puts his arms on the rests, lol its just funny to me

  • i crack myself up every time I see this scene

  • beavareee.....PUOOLLL DA STRAING!!!!!!!!! HAHAHA

  • Landau looks creepier than the real Lugosi.

  • i have no clue what ANY of what he's saying is supposed to mean... does anyone have an idea? :/

  • funniest thing ive ever seen

  • PULL THE STRINK

  • I wonder if that was scripted, he was addicted to prescriptions at the time so, he could have been saying anything and not thinking about it

  • PULL THE STRING!

  • Martin Landau is even better than Bela Llugosi. :)

  • Never. :) Bela is the greatest. :D

  • No he isnto

  • hillarious scene...perfect Martin Landau deserves that oscar

  • @zahropit well he did

  • Music is soooo perfect.

  • And at that moment, a legend was made.

  • PULL THE STRING!!!! god thats badass!

  • what did he mean by "pull the string" and wasnt that part of "Glen or Glenda" what does that have to do with that movie....but yeah truely epic lol bela lugosi=great actor =]

  • its unknown what wood meant by the line. its never really explained and neither is Bela's role as narrator because their is a second one in the movie.

  • Oh Bela. <3

Martin Landau = best Lugosi ever. This is one of my favorite scenes from Ed Wood. Ever. EVER.

  • Yeah Lugosi was one-of-a-kind, but

seriously its because he fit the few parts

that were available to him. He'd be

relegated to Saturday Night Live or

Mad TV if he was around these days.

  • This was the best part!! XD I couldn't stop laughing. It's just like Bela's!!

  • The most epic line in cinema history!

  • this is funny and creepy in the same time

  • PULL THE GODDAMN STRING ALREADY!

  • lol what string? LOL

  • wait!.. pull the string!

    Landau at his acting best.

  • puppy dog tails?

  • Wow!!! what an actor. If you watch this up against the real Bela's speech...it is identical. Martin Landau did a fantastic job portraying him. Few people can portray someone where you actually believe you are watching that actor (bela). I mean he was a slave to his morphine addiction but wht an incredible talent Bela Lugosi was. These may not have been the most sucessful career years of his life but I'm certain he had alot of fun!

  • Every time I watch it, it cracks me up when he says: "Pull the string!! "

    :) Just great.

  • Martin Landau doesn't act as Bela Lugosi. Martin Landau IS Bela Lugosi!

  • @pietroerperugino I was convinced that Lugosi was back from the dead when I saw this as a kid.

  • As brilliant as Landau's rendition of the "Bevare" speech, it still doesn't hold a candle to Bela's.

  • haha, awesome ^^

    sooo random :D

  • PULL THE STRINGS! PULL THE STRINGS!!

    Look at his face! LOL

  • is he saying... beware??? beware of the green dragon?

  • pull the strringg!!! bela lugosi rules!!

  • Bevare... Bevare...

  • Beware the big green dragon that sits on your doorstep!

  • "Perfect"

Wow just wow. Could martin landau be any more epic. Gotta love Ed woods reaction though. It really makes the scene much more coherent than it has any right to be.

  • So BRILLIANT! :D

  • Dance to that which one is created for!

  • This movie was awesome..Has to have about the best casting ever.

  • this movie freaking rocks i don't know how people was so stupid to let it pass just because the black & white thing.. Burton is a genius.

  • Is there a video on youtube where this movie shows the scene with bela saying "I'm not going near that goddamn thing!"?

  • they missed "a story must be told"

  • this is the best movie with johnny depp

  • I love that expression Bella does at 0:10. "Bewaaareee". He definnitely deserved that oscar.

  • The oscar went to Martin Landau, it's shadow went to Bela Lugosi.

  • Only Ed Wood could understand such ludicrous lines...that's why he's so touched at the end by Belas performance.

  • best movie ever!!!!

  • A stellar performance by Landau. Paying a great tribute to the late Bela Lugosi without making fun of him. Fine line to walk but he pulled it off brilliantly.

  • i am actually CRYING with laughter. =]

  • is it because earlier ed says that he pulls the strings?

  • I assume so, because Ed was typing up the script for the film :) glad you enjoyed the clip!

  • how can something that makes no sense be so addicting

  • oh. this video rocks. damn. beware. PULL THE STRING.

  • wow, this is so intense and funny at the same time... just incredible. The best moment of the movie "PULL THE STRING!" I love it

  • The first episode of Freakazoid has an extremely random reference to the this

  • it is almost as good as the original ;p

  • Ed Wood jumped on D Day wearing full woman's lingerie beneath his combat fatigues. What a character!!

  • haha yea :D

  • @anhacus I actually don't this it was D Day. Wikipedia said Guadalcanal. Who knows.

  • @anhacus well we've got to give him some credit. He fought in D-Day.

  • GREAT MARTIN LANDAU !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The original Bat chain puller.

    (Apologies to Beefheart)

  • beware...

  • MANEJO LAS CUERDAS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • BEVAAAARE!

  • For some reason, only Ed Wood would have found this dialog profound. It truly makes me wonder about the man... "PULL DE STRENG!"

  • Funniest scene ever.

  • best movie ever!!!

  • Beware... beware!! Beware, of the big green dragon that sits on your doorstep. He eats little boys! Puppy dog tails! Big fat snails!

    Beware... take care... Beware! WAIT!

    pull the string!!!

    pull the string!!!

    I LOVE THAT PART!

  • Martin Landau acts out this scene PERFECTLY. It sounds EXACTLY the same.

  • Martin Landau was so good as Bela, because he he too understood, that Bela was wastly underrated as an actor, and that even in B-movies like Ed Woods, he made amazingly good preformances.

  • See Bella Lugosi do it. The actual film is even funnier.

  • PULL THE STRING

    PULL THE STRING!!!

    <3

  • Funny shit.

  • bevare...take care....

  • bela lugosi: excellent

  • Tim Burton's Ed Wood absolutely rocks!!! For me, the funniest movie ever.

  • Awesome!

  • LOL i love this scene - one of my favorites :D
