What people don't realize is that this was Petrucci's and Ruddess' hand in slow motion. The animators saw them play and immediately realized that their animation would never be able to keep up with the epicness of the Octavarium.

Audio is off! I had this video from a DVD I got and it too the audio was off. A bit odd to finalize and publish something like that. It is a great animation! Sadly Octavarium was their last good album in my opinion. Dream Theater is not supposed to be metal!!

I think Rudess is more thecnical, but Kevin Moore was really more melodic, he played with more feeling than rudess.

Think about it, with 6 CD's that DT has recorded Rudess, the pieces of art they've created can be counted with my two hands, instead with only 3 cds they recorded with moore, all of them are epic songs, ALL OF THEM

What about Scenes from a Memory? Don't you think the whole disc is a piece of art? I consider it a masterpiece by DT, anyway, you're right about the amount of great songs created with Rudess, they clearly have diminished, I'm a real fan of the "old" DT sound (until Metropolis pt.2 which you can consider as a development of the style shown in Images and Words)
