i found Kuushuuken to be super useful, because it allowed me to bypass a few damage coming from that super jump thingy. I regret not using Tiger Blade more often though.

You're not too good, are you? Having to spam Kuushuuken/Snipe Roar constantly in order to win?
Try using Hienkyaku, it does a much better job of holding the foe (especially Jababa) in one place.
