@3tangle3 Tbh I don't give a crap about culture, culture is just a way imo to look down at people with different cultures, ive seen it happen so many times in life sadly. People tend to seperate themselves from people with different cultures causing division amoung the human race, we are all one (not trying to sound biblical), and are seperate by minor differences and beliefs, it's this that has stopped (many times) the advancement forward of the human race.

@3tangle3 if the IRA kept there word and held ceasefire loyalist groups would not have sprung up, it's these loyalist groups that have kept the IRA at bay from causing serious harm and destruction upon innocent people, the UVF is not a radical group, they have fought in WW1, WW2, whenever the UK has held a cry for help the UVF where right behind her. And I can happily say no loyalist group has held an alliance with sick inhumane people such as Nazi's as the IRA have.

@3tangle3 And for the settlers, it was Ireland's fault in the first place that settlers came, the old Irish King married his daughter to an English Lord (Strongbow i believe), for the gratitude of the English sending him help in the 1100's, so basically the English in Ireland was literally an invite from the Irish. Since the marriage England has set a dominant presence in Ireland ever since. Civilising these streets from once warring war lords.

The pope (the beloved ROI figure) was the one who asked for the British to establish the Roman Catholic church in Ireland, hence starting the purging of culture. This ties into my comments before hand about culture, again showing what it can bring.
