  • long-haired narcissistic girly boys who are just so fuckin impressed with themselves. This is one steaming self indulgent load of crap.

  • @jacero10 Tell us what you really feel .This time no holding back

  • @jacero10 Your comment reflects your ignorance of the courage, and skill involved in what this man did.

  • oh gawd, all the world needs is girly boys getting all weepy every time they say the word, "friends." Yick...

  • "I'm scared..." Hell yeah, and for good reason. Glad he made it.

  • I was wondering how a person can purchase the DVD or down load of this film. I have spent 2 days researching the internet and can not find a way to purchase this. Is there a site i can go into to purchase. On Jessie Martin's web site it says " available on ITunes " no it is not. Please help

  • The youngest circumnavigate solo was a sixteen years old boy aboard the sail boat Dove, many years ago. National Geographic published it in detail.

  • @TheDiverdog1 Robin Lee Graham start at 16, finished it at age 21. On the other hand, both Jessica Watson and Laura Dekker finished their circumnavigations at 16. However, Graham, and later Tania Aebi, circumnavigated without the aid of GPS and other electronic devices which make solo sailing a much safer proposition today. Jesse Martin and Jessica Watson stand out as they circumnavigated solo, non-stop and unassisted.

  • You lucky Bastard!!!!!!!!!

  • You lucky Bastard!!!!!!!!!

  • I want a sailing yacht pls buy me

  • me quito el sombrero enfrente de esta joven llamo jesse martin pensé que yo a mis 21 años cuando los tuve pensé que era muy audaz ,pero este joven se voló la barda. en hora-buena

  • so how the hell can i watch the documentary??

  • 1:16 holy shit.. that is some wave..

1:29 I would most certainly be scared.. because out there.. you are really all alone..

I am not sure whether I feel impressed or upset, why a young person brings himself in such a dangerous situation.

  • I don't get it. what does 5 Lost At Sea | Jesse Martin & crew discover conflict at sea have to do with a kid sailing around the world? who was lost?

  • so ?…

  • 1:43 he kinda reminds me of river phoenix

  • Wowwweeee, playing a piano in front of people, boy that's inspiring to a nation...

Take a real risk. Like..... thumb wrestling!!!!"!"

  • gosh do not know the fellow but at least he got off and away from shore unlike many. Give him a break.

  • jesse martin is a phenominal douche bag!

  • He isnt rich, If you had educated yourself before commenting. You would know that his hole trip worked off sponsors and his mother took out money she didnt have putting her hosue on the line because she believed in his dream.

Read the book Lionheart, and some many stupid comments on here will be deleted and filled with admiration of this inspirational human being.

  • hole should be whole

  • Think I will head over to the videos of NBA and NFL players and comment about watching multi-millionares throw a ball around while dumb buck wannabees pay $40 a piece to sit in the cold and crowds and watch them, talking about how they would have made that play differently. Sound like a plan?

  • Bit of advice to those commentors below. Take the advice of Nike "Just Do It". Arange for sponsors, arange a boat, pick the people going on the journey, be responsible for them during the trip, video tape it and post it here or find someone to put it out on the market. Now that you have done all that, sit back and let us comment on it when you have no way of knowing who we are. Sound like a plan? Do I hear clucking out there?

  • 1:26 i feel so sorry for him cuz he was crying

  • I wish I was rich sometimes. Must be nice!!

  • @sean2me It costs very little to sail over distances. It is in fact far cheaper to live abroad and sail the world than it is to live some shitty 9-5 existence of routine and bills. This kid did what he did aboard a small sloop that probably cost less than the car you drive to work every day. Look into the life of sailing and you will see that anybody could do it. All you need is a free spirit and a desire for true unadulterated freedom.

  • @notanythingful "a free spirit, and a desire for unadulterated freedom" Dont' forget skill, training, and courage. A free spirit only gets you so far...

  • @dbdeeds1973

I agree. A ton of planning around weather, food stops, water supply, customs, dock fees, visa's, pirates... nothing I've read indicates this is easy, cheap or safe endeavor.

  • @msnpassjan2004

That is because you have never done it and probably never will while your reading about.

  • @driftrolla And you say that because you have never been sailing and have no idea of the risk from storms or fog at night without radar. Still, let us know your first sail goes, if you ever get off youtube long enough to actually try it.

  • @msnpassjan2004

Not to be rude but here is my Resume, master 4, master 5, coxwain, med1,med2, med3,ocean yacht master, offshore yacht master, yacht master instructor (youngest in Australia at time), Stcw 95 sea safety, stcw ARPA,Stcw95 dynamic positioning, Full radio operators cert, Advanced Meteorology, sailing resume own 55 foot steel yacht over 60 000 nm logged, commercial sea time logged 25-35000 nm per year (17 years) days at sea 3500+++

If you want proof send me your email

  • @notanythingful Well-stated, and it sounds like you may have been bit by the sailing bug at some point.

It is a much better existence, but you can't be cowardly to take it on. The fact that the 18 year old buy cried is just a part of him overcoming his fears and becoming a man.

  • @notanythingful oh yeah well said!!

  • @notanythingful you say the true thank, you so much.soory for my english.

  • @notanythingful And A LOT of experience. To sail around the world require, skill, determination.

  • @sean2me I know many, many, that have sailed thousands of miles, and none of them are rich. Many of them live on $500 a month or less, and they will stop in and work from time to time to resupply.

It doesn't take a lot of money, but you do have to have the ambition to get off your ass and want to do it, and the courage to overcome your fear of change.

  • phi phi island, nice, beautiful island

  • @danofsydney - jealous much?

  • not all all, The guy is such a jerk that when his shipmate hooked up with the hot euro-girl in the crew, Jesse spat the dummy and called the whole jouney off, Ruined it for everyone! He was not a team player and despite his " young people being inspiring" baloney, he was only ever concerned with himself and his own self promotion!

  • This guy is such a drama queen, You can see by his eyes that he is crazy ( or borderline retarded maybe autistic) and this doco was pathetic and a waste of taxpayers money

  • hey danofsydney - perhaps you should try, and then let us know what you think?

  • visit my channel youll see what i think, I dont need to try a stupid and contrived "inspiring kids" jopurney. Im busy with 'world premiere' piano perfromances and my media commentary ...

  • @danofsydney LOL!

  • @danofsydney I think donations supported it, not taxes, and it doesn't matter if he was a "drama queen", crazy, borderline retarded, or autistic; it matters how he actually was able to be the youngest person to solely circumnavigate the globe.

  • @666pat666 lol yeah

  • @666pat666 Then don't cry, child.

  • when is this on tv?

  • What a nice yacht.
